Maintaining your outdoor rubber paver tiles is easy and simple. Here are a few tips to keep them looking great:
  • Sweep the surface of the tile with a stiff outdoor bristle broom when necessary to remove any loose debris.
  • For more stubborn dirt or stains, use a mild soap and water solution and gently scrub the tiles with a soft nylon bristle brush or mop.
  • Spray or hose off the tiles with clean water as needed to remove any remaining debris.
  • If necessary, you can vacuum the surface of the recycled rubber tiles with a shop vac to remove any dirt or debris that may have accumulated.
Note: Do not use any harsh chemicals or solvents on the tiles, as this may damage the surface of the rubber. Also, avoid using high-pressure washers or steam cleaners, as these can cause damage to the tiles as well.
  • For 1/2" thick rubber paver tiles, it is recommended to adhere the tiles to a substrate such as an outdoor concrete pad, wood asphalt, or compacted gravel using a polyurethane adhesive. This adhesive is ideal for handling freezing and thawing, and is moisture-cured.
  • 3/4" thick rubber paver tiles can also be adhered using a polyurethane adhesive.

Can the west coast tiles be laid on top of grass in a backyard for a backyard kids play swing set? Do these tiles interlock somehow? How do they attach to each other and would grass grow between the tiles? Thank you.
Anonymous
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be laid over grass. When installing these tiles over grass it is recommended that a weed fabric be placed under the tiles to prevent grass from growing between the tiles. The tiles do not interlock to each other but can be glued together with a polyurethane seam sealer glue.
Can you glue this tile to an existing concert drive way in Florida? What type glue can you use?
kenneth
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast tiles can be glued to a concrete driveway. You will want to use a polyurethane adhesive.
Could these tiles be laid over a bare dirt ground with a sand base?
Janet

Can the tiles be laid on stone or do I have to lay sand down first?
Don Welchko
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast tiles can be laid over stone. As long as the sub surface is smooth and solid, our paver tiles can be laid over it.
Can these tiles be laid and cut to fit a cement porch and steps?
Debi
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be cut to fit a cement porch and steps.
If I buy the 3/4 tiles, which dowels would I need to buy to go with it, if I don't want to glue the tiles down?
Anonymous
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast tiles are too thin for dowels. Thus, we recommend the usage of glue.
Can these tiles be install on a wood outside deck where the temp. goes below freezing and there is snow?
Elisha Fullerton
Our Pave Tiles - West Coast can be installed over a wood deck outside where the temperature goes below freezing and there is snow.
Can I place the pavers on a wood deck? We don't get much sun and worry about mildew.
Mary Albers
You can install our Paver Tiles - West Coast over a wood deck, but if you are worried about mold and mildew growth, we recommend placing a plastic sheet under the tiles. With this plastic sheet, you can place holes strategically between the boards to reduce the amount of moisture that may come in contact with the deck.
We redid our front yard about 3 years ago and put 1" to 1 1/2" rocks under a small tree. We did not plan on the tree dropping so much "stuff" making the rocks very difficult to clean. I am looking for an alternative that can be cleaned easily. Is your product permeable? Would small tree droppings be easily blown off? The surface under the tree is slightly curved - would that be a problem?
John Hacker
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast are water permeable. This keeps water from pooling on the flooring surface. These tiles are very easy to clean. You can use a leaf blower to remove any large dirt and debris and for any stuck on dirt and debris; we recommend using a hose to remove. Since there are typically root systems and the stump to the tree, you may have to cut the tiles to fit the area properly. You can do this with a large bread knife and a straight edge.
We live in New Mexico and have a small deck outside of our 2nd floor bedroom. The deck is about 5' X 20'and gets a lot of sun. The deck floor is treated wood which is badly warped and needs to be replaced. The roof of our home is a flat tar & gravel roof. Under the deck is the tar roof without the gravel. The tar is dry and is about 6 years old. Can these tiles be placed directly on the tar roof? will they make a good floor for this deck? Thanks.
Bill
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be installed on your deck. As long as the tar is not fresh, the flooring will be safe over the tar. If you are concerned at all that the flooring may be affected by the tar, you can always place a plastic sheet underneath the floor. Another product that will work great on your deck is our Deck Top Roof Tiles.
Need more info on the option of using a dowel system to attach adjacent tiles for Paver Tiles West Coast 3/4" thick. What is the cost and how does it work? Where can these tiles be laid?
JS
Unfortunately our 3/4" Paver Tiles - West Coast are not installed with dowels. These tiles would need to be installed with glue. These tiles can be laid over concrete, asphalt, and wood.
Are these considered water permeable? My city requires a certain % of the lot to be covered in permeable paving. I think there must also be a gravel bed.
George P. White
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast are water permeable.
Are there specific edges available for this tile to prevent stubbing your toe if laying on an open area?
Brandon
We do offer a ramp that can be cut down to fit up to our Paver Tiles - West Coast. The ramp is 1" thick and is 4" wide by 48" long.
Can these pavers be used to park a boat on, outdoor with the proper foundation? If not, do you have a rubber flooring that will?
Anonymous
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be used as flooring under a parked boat. These tile are very dense and are able to withstand a very large load on top of them.
How do you cut the 3/4"pavers?
Randy Dickey
We recommend using a serrated blade.
Can you lay this flooring over a rubber roof?
Anonymous
You can install our Paver Tiles - West Coast over a rubber roof without damaging it.
Can this be placed on top of a concrete porch that is cracking?
Jo
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be installed over cracking concrete. If there is a great variance in the height of the concrete around the cracks of more than an inch, then you may need to repair the concrete first before installing the tiles.
In the picture of these tiles installed on the patio, they appear to be scored down the middle to resemble bricks. In the close-up photo of the tile itself it appears to be just a plain square. Are they scored, or how is the brick look achieved? Thank you.
Maren
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast comes in two surface patterns. The room scene image is of the Brick Pattern, and we also offer a smooth top version. You can order either version in the drop-down menu for this product.
Which of the rubber paver tiles is water-permeable? And how porous are they? I.e., if it rains hard, will all the water seep through the tiles, or will there be run-off that I need to plan for (slope)?
John
All of our rubber paver tiles are water permeable. They will allow water to flow through the tiles to prevent water from pooling on the surface.
Can these tiles be used inside? I am looking for a very tough floor for apartments.
Marcella S
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be used indoors or out.
I have a plywood surfaced waterproof deck where the membrane has leaked. I plan to replace the existing membrane with a continuous TPO or PVC membrane. Our deck sees a lot of sun in summer and a lot of rain and frost in winter. Can your tiles be placed on such a membrane? Will it last? How do I attach tiles to membrane?
Erik
You can install our Paver Tiles - West Coast on a TPO or PVC membrane roof. These tiles are very durable and are resistant to the elements. They are also very slip-resistant even when wet and are resistant to mold and mildew growth. These tiles are water-permeable, so they will allow water to flow through them. This will ensure the drainage characteristics of your roof will stay intact. You don't have to adhere these tiles to the roof with anything. You can loose lay them as they are pretty heavy on their own. If you wanted to use something to install them permanently or semi-permanently install them, we would recommend our Polyurethane Adhesive or Double-Side Tape respectively.
Do the rubber tiles get really hot to the touch in direct sunlight? How difficult is it to shovel or remove snow from? Can you chip ice on top of this? Does snow and ice cause premature wearing? Does it get really slick when it is icy? How fast will it drain? In other words, is ice damning an issue? How long should it last?
Jerry Olivier
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast will get hot in direct sunlight but will be cooler than concrete. You can shovel snow off our rubber paver tiles with a plastic shovel. Don't use a metal shovel as this will damage the tiles. Chipping ice on these tiles will be a little difficult if you are using a metal pick. We would suggest using salt and other materials to prevent ice from forming on the tiles. These tiles do drain fairly fast, so you won't have to worry about any ice damming issues. The tiles have a 5-year warranty, but these tiles are made to last as long as you own them. The only thing that you will notice is that over time some colors will fade in direct sunlight.
Can these tiles be installed on a torch-on roof without standoff or underlay? Will water runoff easily under the tiles along the roof slope?
Rahul
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be installed on a torch-on roof without underlay. The water will permeate through the tile and follow the same drainage path that you have currently.
Please tell me if the 16" x 16" recycled rubber pavers can be painted? If so what kind of paint and primer can be used.
Greg
Our Paver Tiles - West Coast can be painted. You can use an acrylic paint on these rubber pavers or a two-part urethane adhesive paint system.
can I laid tiles over brick steps? and what kind of glue do I need?
Yes, you may lay our Paver Tiles over brick steps, as long as the brick is in good condition and free of defects, since we recommend installing these pavers over a hard surface. You may use our Polyurethane adhesive to glue the pavers down.
I have a 40’ X 10’ walking deck that has a hot-mopped roof outside; can I use these?
James Bishop
You can install our Paver Tiles - West Coast on a hot-mopped roof. As long as the structure can handle the weight, these tiles are a great option for a rooftop patio.
Can these tiles be cut with a jig saw or a band saw?
John
You can cut our Paver Tiles - West Coast and any of our outdoor rubber products with a band saw or jig saw.
Can a basketball bounce on the rubber paver tiles?
Chelsea Casey

  Looks nice in home gym!
Verified Purchase
Self-installed in Home gym
Anonymous from Costa Mesa, CA wrote...
Ordered these in 1/2″ thickness terracotta for our home gym. I used a heavy duty box cutter and L square to cut the tiles to fit certain areas, and polyurethane adhesive to make sure they stick to the concrete floor. The tiles look and feel very resilient and are very easy to clean with a soapy scrub brush. I give 4 stars due to the fact that there were slight size inconsistencies in some of the tiles making it a little difficult to get the edges lined up accurately.

Nice coverup for old concrete porch floor

Self-installed in concrete porch floor

I put the paver tiles over an old, discolored, dingy concrete porch floor. Appearance is much improved. Time will tell with how well the tiles age. Cutting tiles was challenging, but this is testament to their solid composition.
