Description - Transform any outdoor space into your personal oasis with our Northern Lights Rubber Pavers. More comfortable than stone pavers, these rubber pavers are very easy to install and maintain and will allow you to use your outdoor space all year long. Resistant to mold and mildew growth, these rubber tiles are very durable and can be installed anywhere in the US and Canada. Slip-resistant even when wet, a 5-year warranty backs these interlocking rubber pavers. Available in a flat top and basketweave brick pattern, we are certain we will have the perfect look for your outdoor space.
Material – Each paver tile is made from recycled rubber providing you with the ultimate green flooring solution.
Size – 24” x 24”
Thickness – Available in ~1" tiles (19m).
Weight – Each tile weighs approximately 20 Lbs.

Northern Lights Rubber Pavers are easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance of these outdoor deck and patio tiles typically includes:
  • Sweeping the surface of the tile with a stiff outdoor bristle broom when necessary.
  • Spraying or hosing off the tiles with clean water as needed.
  • Vacuuming the surface of the recycled rubber tiles with a shop vac if needed.

Note: If the tiles do become stained in anyway, use a mild soap and water solution and gently scrub the tiles with a soft nylon bristle brush or mop.
Northern Lights Paver Tiles are very easy to install. Installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • Thoroughly clean the surface where the pavers are to be installed. Allow to dry completely. Make sure that both paver and surface have no moisture on them for best adhesion.
  • Place Flagstone paver on the surface to assure you have the proper amount and that you like the overall design.
  • To achieve the best results, snap chalk lines as a guide and pavers will be straight during installation.
  • Begin installation in a corner or against a wall and work in a small section.
  • Apply a polyurethane adhesive to the bottom of the paver and place on surface.
  • Gently tap tiles into place with a rubber mallet for adhesion.
  • Continue laying full pavers in place until complete.
  • For any pavers that require cutting, use a razor knife, cutting the paver in a series of scores to acquire a clean edge.
  • Allow the area to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before use.
  • After installation, some natural weathering of pavers may occur.

Can these rubber pavers be installed on dirt?
Our Northern Lights Rubber Pavers can be installed over compacted dirt or any other hard flat surface like concrete, asphalt, and the like.
If I trim them to 12" is that in a groove of the center seam?

Since these tiles are 2' x 2' tiles, if you cut at 12", you would be cutting at the center point of the tile.
What thickness/product do recommend for my garage/woodworking shop. I need to roll heavy machines on mobile bases across floor.

You can use our Northern Light Rubber Paves as garage flooring or as flooring in a workshop. The only thing that you will notice would be that over time if oil were to be spilled on the floor, that the tiles could break down. If your vehicle leaks oil or you work with oil in an area, we would recommend placing a mat under your car or in the area where you will be working with the oil.
Do these tiles have channels under them for water to pass through?

Our Northern Light Rubber Pavers do have channels under them to allow water to flow under the tiles.
When they are wet do the tiles move. Or will they be stationary.

Our Northern Lights Rubber Pavers will not move when wet. These tiles are heavy enough to stay in place once installed.
If placing these pavers on contained polished concrete carport with three walls, are dowels needed on any other area than the one open side?

If you are installing our Northern Light Rubber Pavers wall-to-wall, then dowels would not be necessary. You can add dowels to any part of the floor that you like, but they would not be necessary.
I am looking at using these for an outdoor play yard for dogs. Can they be disinfected?

You can use our Northern Lights Rubber Pavers as flooring for a play area for dogs. Since the tiles are porous, they would be tough to disinfect truly, but you can easily clean with the tiles with a hose and soap and water. We have a gym disinfectant that can be used to disinfect the tiles as well.
Can these tiles be laid on a sand base as a floating floor rather than on concrete?

We recommend installing our Northern Lights Rubber Pavers over any hard flat surface. You can install these tiles over crushed granite that has been compacted and flattened, but we don't recommend installing the tiles over-sand. Customers have installed our rubber pavers or dirt and sand with success, but there is always the potential for the floor to become unstable during heavy rains. Typically those types of installs are temporary as a portable patio area for RVs, trailers, and the like.

Will these pavers bend enough to lay properly if placed on a graduated slope?

Our Nothern Lights Rubber Pavers are somewhat flexible and can be installed over a graduated slope.
