3/8" Remnant rubber rolls are easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance of these rubber rolls typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the rubber flooring when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the rolled rubber with a mild soap and water solution. A few recommended soaps are Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

Installation of our rubber rolls is very simple and typically done by the consumer. When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is recommended that you use some kind of adhesive to prevent the rolls from moving around or sliding apart between adjacent rolls. Below are instructions for the two most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to your base floor.

Double Sided Tape Installation
  • First clean your sub floor so that is free of all dirt, dust and debris.
  • Loose lay out the rolls in the room as you would like them to look after complete installation. Note: Rolls can be directional so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the color does not appear to match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
  • Next you will want to let your rolls acclimate to the space they are being installed for at least 24-48 hours.
  • Now make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade.
  • Lift rolls and apply double sided tape to the perimeter of each roll.
  • Place rolls back into position on top of the double sided tape.

Glue Installation
  • First clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust and debris.
  • Next, roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Put down a 10 foot long light layer of polyurethane adhesive and unroll 10 feet of the flooring onto the adhesive. Repeat this step every 10 feet until the entire roll has been unrolled into its desired position.
  • After all rolls have been glued down, it is often recommended to use a 100 pound roller on the floor in order to guarantee good adherence to the sub floor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps ensuring ever spot of flooring has been walked on can also work.

Could your rubber flooring be used outside - to cover an existing cement pad to use for an agility course practice pad for our dog? I was thinking of your 3/8" remnant roll.
Doris Farren
You can use our 3/8" Rubber Roll Remnants over cement for an agility course practice pad for your dog. These rolls are very durable and would be able to withstand the constant abuse caused by the dog's nails.
Can I install the mat in my garage and ride snowmobiles over it without destroying the product? If not, do you have another product strong enough to not get torn apart by a snowmobile's track/studs as well as the wear rods on the skis?
Joel
You can install our 3/8" Rubber Roll Remnants in a garage and drive snowmobiles over it. Our rubber flooring is very durable and has been used for this purpose in garages and in toy haulers.
I'm trying to find something to cover the play area at our head start playground, at the moment it has small gravel and it's difficult for the kids to play on, can the rubber roll remnants be used for this and if so how would it be installed?
Starla Ison
You can use our 3/8" Rubber Rolls as flooring in a playground. These rolls are very easy to clean and maintain and are very easy to install as well. To install these rolls, all you would need to do is roll them out in the space that you want to install them in. Not glue or tape would be needed. The weight of the rolls would keep them in place.
Can your 3/8" Rubber Roll Remnants be used outside under a trampoline? Does it have a fall-height rating? Do I have to glue them, or can I just lay them out on the cement?
yi
Our 3/8" Rubber Rolls Remnants can be used outdoors under a trampoline. Our rubber rolls do not have a fall height rating. If you are looking for products with fall height ratings, we recommend looking at the flooring options on our playground flooring page. You don't have to glue or tape the rolls down; you can just lay the rubber over top of your cement pad or dirt. The weight of the trampoline and the rolls themselves will keep them in place.

From a price point it came way cheaper than locally priced ones including shipping cost. The mat was damn heavy but nicely rolled and packed making it easier to push and roll.

Self-installed in Basement - home gym

I am very happy with my 3/8” fitness/gym flooring. It was relatively easy to install, and it appears to be very durable in the first month. We use it for kids dance/gymnastics, for light-to-med weights, and even for hockey skates! Yes, we do a backyard rink in the winter and this floor shows no wear after a few uses for walking w/skates. I wish there were a cheaper way to ship the product, but I understand that it is heavy. Yes, it took 2 strongmen to lift one roll of 450 sf; a rugged dollie is the the way to go!
