Description - Regrind rolled flooring is an extremely low cost yet very durable rolled rubber flooring solution. These rolls offer a functional rubber floor surface however color and density of color flecks between rolls is not guaranteed. These rolls are made from our very own post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard recycled rubber products. Regrind rubber rolls are very dense and have an anti slip surface to help keep traction even in the most demanding lateral movement exercises. These rolls work great in home gyms or commercial gym areas where heavy exercise equipment is being used and the customer is in need of the lowest cost rubber flooring solution available. These rolls are also guaranteed with our industry leading 5 year warranty.
Material – Reground rubber that is made from the post industrial recycled rubber created during the production of our standard rubber products. This allows us to make a low cost product that is designed to be functional. If you would like a rubber roll that has guaranteed color consistency, we would recommend one of our standard rolled rubber flooring products instead.
Width – 4 feet.
Thickness – Available in 1/4", 8mm and 3/8" thickness.
Length – Available in standard 25 and 50 foot roll lengths.
Color – Available in confetti color pattern and a primarily black color pattern. (Note: This flooring is made entirely from the post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard rubber flooring products. Due to this, color density, shade, and variation can exist in the flooring depending on what kind of colors and products we are running on any given day. Black regrind rolls may also contain a few color flecks and thus consistency of color can not be guaranteed with any regrind roll.)
Weight – 1.5 Lbs. per square foot for the 1/4” thick rolls, 1.8 Lbs. per square foot for the 8mm thick rolls and 2.2 Lbs. per square foot for the 3/8” thick regrind rubber flooring.
Origin – Made in the USA
Recommended Uses – Regrind rubber rolls have been used successfully in home gyms, commercial gyms, personal training studios, basements, indoor paintball studios, and in a variety of other locations where a durable non slip flooring solution would be beneficial. Even though this rubber flooring is cheap in price, it is still just as durable and can be used in places just as demanding as our regular rolled rubber flooring products. Regrind rolls are not normally recommended for use as dog kennel flooring or horse stall matting.
  • Our Regrind rolls ship in 1-3 business days when in stock. When out of stock, these rolls may take up to 5-10 days to ship out.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your recycled rubber flooring ships and tracking information becomes available.
Regrind flooring is easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance of this recycled rolled rubber flooring typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the rolled rubber with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is recommended that you use some kind of adhesive to prevent the rolls from moving around or sliding apart between adjacent rolls. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the sub floor are:

A: Double Sided Tape Installation
  • First you will want to clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
  • Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for up to 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation of your new flooring.
  • Note: Rolls may be directional so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure color matches.
  • Make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a Straight Edge and a Utility Knife with a fresh blade. We recommend leaving a gap around the rolls roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
  • Apply double sided tape to perimeter of each roll.
  • Place rubber rolls back into position on top of the double sided tape.

  • B: Glue Installation
    • First clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust and debris. Also, when gluing your flooring down, it is recommended that the sub floor is free of any moisture.
    • Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Put down a 10 foot long light layer of polyurethane adhesive and unroll 10 of the flooring into the adhesive at a time.
    • Repeat this step for every 10 feet of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into it desired position.
    • After all rolls have been glued down, it is often recommended to use a 100 pound roller on the floor in order to guarantee good adherence to the sub floor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.

Is the regrind 3/8 thick rubber floor good for shock absorption during HIIT, Plyo, and Tabata training?

    Q:

So is the Black Regrind better than the confetti for P90x, jump roping, and impact activities? Or is it the same product with the color being the only difference? Thank you

    A:

Our Black Regrind is less dense than our Confetti Regrind making it better suited for high impact workouts such as P90X, jump training and the like.

    Q:

When used outdoors in Arizona sun, I understand it's not UV-treated and will fade -- but what about gradual break-down? I don't mind fading at all, but am wondering if kids playing on the surface will end up with black hands/feet (like car tires give you) after years of gradually starting to break down?

    A:

Our Regrind Rolls will not break down when placed outdoors in the Arizona sun under normal conditions.

    Q:

On the regrind rolls, I was wondering if I could use this for an outside walkway? Thank you

    A:

Our Regrind Rolls would work perfectly outside on a walkway. Our Confetti colored rolls have the same density as our standard rubber rolls and are very slip resistant when wet. These rolls are also resistant to mold and mildew growth. We wouldn't recommend using our black rolls as they are less dense and may not hold up well to the constant foot traffic.

    Q:

Do you recommend your floors for garage use? Can you park cars on it?

    A:

Our Confetti colored Regrind Rolls can be used as garage flooring. The only issue that you may run into with having rubber as garage flooring is if your car leaks oil, the oil over time will break down the floor. To help alleviate this issue, we recommend placing an extra mat in the area where you will park the vehicle. Other than that, our rubber rolls would hold up fine to cars parked on them and driven over them.

  Unbelievable floors. Love them!

I have been in the industry a long time and have trained on many, many floors - so I am a snob about what is under my feet. I also just opened my own small group training center and needed rubber flooring that was durable, easy for me to install on both a budget and a deadline, that was of high quality to train on. I wanted to stay local and tried East Coast suppliers and manufacturers, but none had exactly what I wanted and then I discovered Rubber Flooring Inc. and I was in!!! Not only was the selection outstanding in terms of color, depth, style and usage - but they have so many ways to apply/install it. I specifically got the regrind rolls in confetti and people stop in their tracks when they come through the door. That's how nice these rubber floors are!! My clients love to train on it, they clean like a dream and really keep their color and luster. I am a burpee maniac and doing it on these mats is heaven. In addition, the customer care is some of the best I have ever received. If you run, manage or own in the fitness industry, you know how important that is, and Rubber Flooring's team is the best. Really held my hand through the whole process. Steered me back in the right direction when I veered a bit and then after installation (which was easy peasy - from delivery to literally rolling out the rubber and making a straight cut), still followed up with me for care and feedback. Loved it! Who does that? Thank you Rubber Flooring we are your biggest fans!!! HIIT BOX - Brooklyn NY

We have a 1400 square foot commercial gym, it had low pile carpet in it, we put the 3/8 regrind rolls over the carpet and used carpet tape to keep it in place. It is wonderful. All of our gym members love it! It looks like a whole new gym.

Rubber rolls are heavy, and material is thick. I needed a professional installer, who worked very hard to cut through the material. Rolls were not matching in color of black, and three rolls were damaged on the sides upon delivery so that the seams have divots and chunks interrupting the seam in some places. I do like the flecks of color in the regrind rolls and samples sent before hand were a good example of what was delivered.

We ordered 81 feet of the launch turf roll and eight rolls of the 50 foot 1/4 inch confetti rubber flooring. We are extremely pleased with how the gym turned out. The Customer Service was extremely helpful. I am planning on using Rubberflooringinc to finish out my next facility.

Very easy to work with. A straight edge and a sharp blade worked like a charm. Used it in a basement exercise room. Took about 60 minutes to complete a 12x15 room. A roll bigger than 30' x 1/4" might be too much for one person to move around. Placed it about three weeks ago, still waiting for the smell to go away, but not nearly as bad as at first. Smells like the tire department at the fleet supply store!

Great product, but very disappointed to receive 3 rolls in 2 different colors.. Why? Do you want this in your gym? Looks like I bought my rubber flooring in a yard sale..

Great product, sturdy, easy to install. Purchased 4 rolls for my home gym. It turned out great. Would be 5 stars, but 3 of the rolls were one type of tint and the 4th was way different. But that was communicated that there could be differences. But it was very different. But we made it work and are very happy.

  Great exercise flooring
Self-installed in Home patio
from phoenix, az wrote...
After reading reviews and getting samples, I purchased 25 feet of regrind to replace the typical black square exercise tiles that are somewhat spongy and very flexible. The square tiles posed problems by sliding or coming apart during exercises that require lateral movements or exercises like burpees. I cut the regrind into two equal lengths and placed them side by side on my concrete patio. The stuff is very heavy and rolled out nice and flat. Installation was much easier than expected. They have been excellent. Very stable for lateral movements. Over the course of a workout, they might separate a quarter of an inch. I won't have that problem anymore after I apply some double stick carpet tape.
