Description - Raised Grip-Loc tiles are built to create a very durable and slip resistant surface in high traffic areas. The tiles feature a textured top design for added slip resistance and support towers to create a free draining surface, which allows water to flow freely underneath the tiles. These tiles are not only capable of handling extremely wet and uneven flooring surfaces, such as those found in locker rooms and showers, but they are also capable of handling extremely wet countertops, such as bar shelves and restaurant drying stations. These tiles are resistant to bacteria, fungus, mold, and mildew. Since these tiles are made from commercial grade EVA, they are stain resistant, and odorless. Installation is as easy as snapping together adjacent Raised Grip-Loc tiles to form a beautiful and customizable surface. Raised Grip-Loc tiles also come with an industry leading 10-year warranty.

Raised Grip-Loc liners are easy to maintain and cleaning of these multiuse tiles typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose debris, dirt, or dust from the tiles.
  • Simply hose down the tiles and let the self-draining design allow for the dirt and debris to be swept away.

Raised Grip-Loc Tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
  • Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
  • When installing the Grip-Loc tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
  • Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
  • After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
  • When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and put the trimmed tiles into place.
  • When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
  • Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.

Why are these for inside use only? I want to use them on my balcony over a rainwater drain so that I can place a plastic storage unit on top to allow for drainage.

We recommend our Raised Grip-Loc Tiles for indoor use because they are not UV stable so, they will fade in direct sunlight. You can use these outdoors but know; they will fade.
Thinking about using "Raised Grip-Loc Tiles" to line boat storage compartments. Are these easy to cut so that I can get a nice fit?
Our Raised Grip-Loc Tiles are very easy to cut to fit with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
For use in shower, are the Raised or Designer Grip-Loc tiles more comfortable to walk and stand on? How flexible are each of these? Are they a soft or firm plastic?
Gaynelle St. Julien
The Designer Grip-Loc Tiles would be more comfortable to stand on in a shower. The Raised Grip-Loc Tiles have a raised pattern on the top that may not be as comfortable underfoot. These tiles are very flexible as they are made from a soft EVA plastic. You can cut and fit these tiles to any desired shape easily with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
Other than the color dye fading, could these tiles hold up to long-term sunlight exposure? The EVA material seems (according to various other websites) to be UV resistant, and your own Grip-Loc tiles (also made from EVA) are recommended for outdoor use. I particularly want the raised texture for traction underfoot in my sailboat cockpit. If I don't mind the cosmetic degradation, could this product be suitable? Thanks.
Our Raised Grip-Loc Tiles are recommended for indoor use, but you can use them outdoors. Some EVA products feature a UV-resistance chemical that helps them keep their color in direct sunlight over time. Our Raised Grip-Loc Tiles are not treated with this and thus will fade over time in direct sunlight. Other than that, these tiles will perform exceptionally outdoors.
Is there a weight limit on your grip lock flooring system?
We do not have a specific weight limit on these tiles, but they can handle people, furniture and other items on them. They will not be able to handle a car on them, so we do not recommend using them in areas where a vehicle will drive over them or park on them.

Self-installed in Boat storage spaces

I always use a draining tile like these to line lockers, storage spaces and the lazarette on my boats. It's very important to get the stuff in those spaces up off the deck and give them some air flow underneath to keep things dry and prevent mold and mildew. Just needed to outfit a new boat and was shocked at how expensive Dri-Dek tiles have become. I found this company and thought I'd give their product a try at half the price of Dri-Dek tiles. I couldn't be happier. I think these tiles install easier than Dri-Deks, cut easier with just a pocket knife and are a bit more flexible which is perfect for compartments with uneven bottoms. Overall an A+ Be careful - read the descriptions of these products. My brother ordered from here for the same use as me and ordered another one of the products that was a few cents per tile cheaper. He apparently didn't read the description and got a product that was hard to cut and not flexible.

Self-installed in Basement

I sometimes take a little water in my basement and I store bins down there. I wanted to put something under them to prevent them from getting wet and having mildew form. These rubber mats are perfect. Easy to interlock and just thick enough to get the bins off the floor. I just order more because I decided to extend the area of storage. AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT!!!!

Self-installed in Basement shower

We were looking for an alternative to a wood platform for our basement shower. The floor gradually slopes towards the drain and the wood platform would rock. Plus the soap would fall through the slats. All solved with the raised grip-loc tiles. The tiles click onto each other, although we should have laid them out prior to starting to click. We needed the loops to be consistent on 2 sides of our 3 x 3 pad (9 tiles total). An old bottle opener made separating the tiles easy so we could start again. (The tiles are meant to stay hooked to one another, so they do take some effort to click together and take apart.) The tiles cover the drain, conform to the slight slope and it doesn't matter if the soap falls. The water drains easily through the tiles and into the drain. And we love that we had a choice of color - BLUE!
