Description - Our Smooth Flex Tiles feature a smooth, leather like pattern that allows these tiles to not only be installed in garages, but in virtually any room in your home. This tile features a hidden interlocking system that provides the highest level of water resistance, while giving you a solid clean look to your floor. These garage tiles, like our other flex tiles, offer resistance to most chemicals and solvents and also help prevent fatigue during long periods of standing. These modular tiles are also very easy to install, only needing a sharp utility knife to cut the tiles to fit your space. These tiles are also mold and mildew resistant which is perfect for areas that have water issues.
Note: Flex tile colors are produced in batches, which can lead to color variations in your order. All colors may present some color variation, but Black and Graphite can produce the most. These three colors can vary greatly between batches and thus it is recommended that you order more flooring than is needed for mistakes and replacements. This in turn gives you the greatest chance to keep continuity across your floor. Batching will also affect color variation between samples and your order with Black and Graphite showing the most variation. These tiles can also be damaged under the weight of a car jack. We recommend using your car jack directly on concrete.
Material - Smooth Flex tiles are constructed entirely of a proprietary blend of flexible PVC that guarantees the most durable garage tile on the market. This custom blend tile also ensures that the tiles are flexible and have the anti-fatigue flooring qualities often associated with rubber flooring but also the durability, long life, and chemical resistance associated with PVC tiles.
Size - 20" x 20" (6 Tiles per case)
Thickness - 5mm
Weight - 4 Lbs. per tile
Recommended Uses - Smooth Flex tiles have been used successfully as a tile flooring option in entrance ways, as basement flooring, in laundry and utility rooms, as garage flooring, in rec rooms and bathrooms, in kid’s play rooms, dens, offices, locker rooms, and any other place where a decorative and easy to install floor tile option would be useful.

  • Smooth Flex tiles typically ship within 4-7 business days, when in stock. Note: Out of stock colors typically ship in 3-4 weeks. For accurate, up-to-date lead times, Please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-613-0996.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your tiles ship and tracking information becomes available.

Smooth Flex Tiles are very easy to maintain. Cleaning of these flex tiles typically includes:
  • Sweeping any loose dirt, dust, or debris from the vinyl floor tiles when necessary.
  • Periodic damp mopping of the tiles with a mild soap and water solution. Some common soaps often used are dish detergents and tide laundry detergent.
  • Due to each tile being coated with a protectant silicone sealant, the tiles may become scuffed or scratched during the installation process or while moving large objects. To help reduce the appearance of scratches or scuff marks we recommend using Armstrong’s Shine Keeper.

Note: This is not a stain proof product. Street tar can cause staining to light colored tiles and in most instances this staining can be remedied with a cleaner called Purple Power. If you have performance tires, staining can occur with light colored tiles. In most instances this may not be remedied with a cleaner. If the staining on your floor does not dissipate, please contact our dedicated Customer Service team at 800-613-0996 who can further assist you.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Snap a chalk line on the sub floor 24” from one wall in your room. Snap another chalk line on the subfloor 24” from an adjacent wall. You should now have a pair of perpendicular lines making an approximate 90-degree angle.
  • Begin laying the interlocking tiles along the chalk lines, snapping the locks together as you go.
  • Leave the perimeter of the room open until the field is installed.
  • After the field is covered, go back and cut in lines along the walls in the room. Leaving a gap at the wall roughly the thickness of tiles being used is recommended to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

I would like to install your flex tiles on a commercial carpet. Will the tiles not separate? Can children dance on it without the tiles moving?

Our Smooth Flex Tiles can be installed over a commercial carpet without the tiles separating. Children will be able to dance on the tiles without them moving. If for some reason the tiles did move, you can add some double sided tape underneath the floor to keep it in place.

I have a 4 1/2 car garage measuring about 24' x 47'. Is there any type of "Tee-Mold" accessory piece available that can be installed at midpoint or third points to take up expansion / contraction? If not, do you have any suggestions?

There are no expansion joints available for our Smooth Flex Tiles. We just recommend leaving a 1/2" expansion joint where the floor meets the walls.

They scuff pretty badly

These tiles scuff easily. I ordered the gray and any time anyone moves a piece of furniture across the floor or anything similar it leaves a white mark that isn't removable. I wish I had known this before I installed a whole room.

Easy install, easy on the feet, easy to clean floo

Dean from Steamboat Springs CO
My floor arrived much quicker than I expected and I installed over 230 SF in just a couple hours. Great product for a high traffic mud / laundry room. I needed to put down some plywood when moving heavy appliances or furniture because the tile will scuff and be careful with heavy objects with wheels. My file cabinet wheels sank into the floor slightly causing some minor dents. Appears to be over the top of an expansion joint in the concrete so it makes some sense the tile may flex there a bit. Good price w/ free delivery, looks great, very comfortable on the feat, good insulator from a cold concrete floor and easy to clean & sweep. We like it.

Easy to install
5/5 Smooth Flex Tiles
Nancy from Lexington, KY
Purchased these for half bath/laundry room on slab. Older town home had ugly sheet vinyl on the floor, installed these tiles right over the sheet vinyl, and flaws in the vinyl do not transmit through. Cut moderately easily with sharp razor blade (most took two or three passes), snap together easily. Plan on changing blades frequently. After lining them up and snapping a tab or two, loads of fun to step on tile edges and pop rest into place (like walking on bubble wrap), used a rubber mallet to make sure all edges fully snapped into place. Looks good, easy to clean, waterproof. Seems a bit pricey but pretty comparable to putting down Ditra and tile (and anything is better than scraping up glued down vinyl). Plan to install in second floor full bath, once I fix the toilet flange problems!

So much nicer than bare concrete

Looks better, muffles sound, nicer to walk on, and warmer than the concrete basement floor. Only downside is having to lift, rather than drag stuff around on it.

Not used in a typical garage
5/5 Smooth Flex Tiles
Charlie Pace from Eureka, Ca
I used this to cover a sheet of moisture barrier in a garage that is prone to have a moist concrete floor. I store my F-350 truck, utility box and 5th wheel trailer hitch in this garage. I use an engine host with steel wheels to load and unload the utility box (500lbs) and hitch (330lbs) from a shelf into the truck which requires 20 feet of travel and a 90 degree turn. After three times there are no marks and no sign I have put any stress on the flooring. Note: consider starting the first tiles at the garage door so the first thing you will see is a clean finished edge.

Very easy to install. Looks great. Fairly easy to clean with a broom, however, using a vacuum, the tiles sometimes pull up. Also would have liked an edge piece so the interlocking teeth underneath wouldn't show along the garage door opening.
