Coin Nitro Rolls are easy to clean and maintain. Cleaning for this roll out flooring typically includes:
  1. Sweeping or vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary.
  2. For more difficult or liquid stains, clean the floor using a mild soap and water solution and a broom or vinyl brush to scrub the surface.
Note: This is not a stain-proof product. Leaving certain harsh chemicals on the rolls for an extended time may cause some staining and/or damage. Street tar can stain light-colored rolls and can usually be remedied with a cleaner called Purple Power. If you have performance tires, staining can occur with light-colored rolls. In most instances, this may not be remedied with a cleaner. If the staining on your floor does not dissipate, please contact our dedicated Customer Service team at 800-613-0996 who can further assist you.

Installing our Garage Rolls is very simple and usually done by the consumer. Typical installation of rolled garage flooring is as follows:
  1. First, clean your floor so it is clean, dry, and free of debris. Sweep dirt out of your garage and remove any lumps or excess cement/debris that might cause bumps on the surface.
  2. Next, unroll your flooring and position it at the front of your garage, one roll at a time. Use a push broom to push out any air underneath the roll.
  3. When installing multiple rolls wall-to-wall, you can make one of two joints: an overlap joint or a butt joint.
  4. For overlap joints, one roll will be placed over another about 1-1/2" - 6” to create a virtually seamless floor.
  5. For butt joints, fold back the edge of roll #1 and wipe it clean. Attach double-sided tape along roll #1’s edge, leaving 2” of tape exposed, and fold the roll back into position. Next, you fold back roll #2 and wipe the bottom edge clean. Carefully align it along the edge of roll #1, making sure not to stretch the mat or tape when applying.
  6. When cutting material for wall-to-wall installations, use a sharp utility knife to trim the edges around exterior walls, poles, boards, and other obstacles. Leave a 1/4” gap to allow for expansion and contraction of your floor.
  7. After the product has been allowed to relax in place, hold down the edges or seams with double-sided tape or our recommended adhesive.

Don't see what you're looking for?
Midnight black coin nitro. I need a 5' x 9' custom mat. Is that possible?
Travis Thurgood
That is possible, we have a custom roll variation in our page.
I'd like to install you coin flooring in my race trailer. The floor is wood particle board. Is it ok to glue down? If so, what product should I use?
John
You can glue our Coin Nitro Rolls with a pressure sensitive adhesive.
Thinking about using this in a small commercial kitchen. Easy to clean, mold and mildew resistant. Thoughts?
Jo
Coin Nitro Rolls could fit in perfectly. We do recommend that the surface is deep cleaned and dry before installing. If you want to avoid any moisture, we recommend using our 7800 Supreme Green Adhesive for extra protection.
We are looking for a waterproof floor covering to install on a screen porch at our NC coastal cottage. Will this product withstand hot summer and cold winter temperatures?
Anonymous
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are a very durable product made from polyvinyl that is able to handle hot summer temperatures and cold winter temperatures.
I have two questions. I just bought a 7.5 ft by 14 ft with v nose enclosed trailer. Is this flooring good for an enclosed trailer? the second question is the interior width is 7.5 ft. It is 6 inches narrower at the wheel well. Is this product 7 ft by 5 inches wide or 7.5 feet wide? How easy is it to trim to size.
Mike
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be installed in an enclosed trailer and can be easily cut with a utility knife and a straight edge.
I recently covered my garage with epoxy. Can I use this product on top of the epoxy? How do you recommend adhering the Nitro Rolls to an epoxy floor.
Michael
You can place our Coin Nitro Rolls over your epoxy floor. To adhere the flooring to the epoxy, we recommend using a pressure sensitive adhesive.
Was thinking about using the coin nitro vinyl to cover the floor of my center console boat. Can it be installed with indoor outdoor carpet adhesive? How will it hold up to sunlight?
Rob
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be installed in your boat with a pressure sensitive adhesive. These rolls are fade resistant and great in areas where water may be present, because they are resistant to mold and mildew and are also even slip resistant.
Could I use this in a commercial kitchen and how thick is it?
robert
You can use our Coin Nitro Rolls in a commercial kitchen. These rolls are non-porous and are resistant to grease and other cooking oils. These rolls are very slip resistant even when wet and are very easy to clean and maintain. At the seams, we would recommend installing the rolls with an overlap seam and gluing the seam to prevent any liquids from getting under the rolls. Our Coin Nitro Rolls come in two thicknesses. Our Residential grade version is 1.6mm, and our Commercial version is 2.5mm thick.
Would these coin nitro rolls be good to put as flooring in a spare bedroom to let our puppy run around? Is the rubber safe for a puppy and also how durable would it be to dog feet and nails?
Anonymous
Our Coin Nitro Rolls would work perfectly as flooring in a spare bedroom for a puppy to run around on. Our Nitro Rolls are very safe and have been tested. To get copies of this testing, please feel email, chat, or call one of our Flooring Heroes.
How does your flooring handle the Phoenix sun during the summer?
Manny
Hey there Manny, Our Coin Nitro Rolls are a very durable product made from polyvinyl that is able to handle hot summer temperatures and cold winter temperatures. Exposing directly to the sun may eventually leave stains and contraction in the long run.
Is the raised coin flooring PVC or another vinyl formulation? Can you elaborate on what material it is?
David
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are made from recycled PVC in a monolithic vinyl construction.
What about the smell? I have purchased other similar products in the past and there was a fairly strong smell for quite a long time. Does your product have a strong out-gassing smell?
Dave
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are constructed with polyvinyl which has a smell similar to a new toy. These rolls do have some off gassing, but it is very minor. To help dissipate the smell, we recommend washing the flooring with a mild soap and water solution and allowing the floor to air dry.
how hard is it to cut nitro rolls? Can you use a box cutter and a straight edge or is there a better way? We are using it on a wall. Thanks!
Steve
The best way to cut our Coin Nitro Rolls is with a sharp utility knife and straight edge.
We're thinking of installing this in our internal garage which has radiant heat (hydronic). Any concerns of whether this product would work on top of a "heated" floor?
Anonymous
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be installed over a radiant heated floor.
I live in an rented townhouse with a garage and want to be able to work on my car without risk of staining the floor. Can the mat be secured to the floor with some of non-permanent adhesive so I can remove it when I move?
Anonymous
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be installed with double-sided tape for a nonpermanent installation.
How well does it hold up in winter areas? Salt damage it ? any special requirements for winter maintenance?
nate
Our Coin Nitro Rolls will not get damaged by salt, and no special maintenance is needed during winter conditions. These rolls are stain, mold, and mildew resistant and are very easy to clean and maintain. We have sold these garage rolls all over the country and Canada with great success.
Are these water proof? Sounds strange but I am looking to use this as flooring in the room my bunnies run around in. They pee on my rug so if I spilled something or they pee will it go through to my floor or even soak into the nitro roll. How easy is it to clean? I'm hoping it would be as easy as just spraying with all-purpose cleaner and wiping off with a paper towel? Also how durable is it? I know this is not marketed towards animal flooring, lol, but say they tried to dig at it with their nails, which they also do to my carpet, is it tough enough that they couldn't penetrate the material or scratch it up or bite through it? It seems if you are parking cars on it and putting gym equipment on it that its pretty durable. Or even better is there a way I could buy a small sample of it to test in their room and feel it for myself? Maybe if this works out, you'll have another market to target. Crazy people with pets! Thank you so much!
Shauna
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are water resistant. These vinyl garage rolls are non-porous and will not allow liquid to penetrate through the floor. Our coin nitro rolls are very easy to clean. All you have to do is sweep and large dirt and debris and mop the floor with a mild soap and water solution. These rolls are very durable. They are meant to be used in very harsh environments like garages and workshops, but they can be cut with a sharp knife. Animals nails will not penetrate these rolls, but they may create surface scratches in the material. These minor scratches won't ruin the integrity of the material; they are more of a cosmetic issue. You can order small samples on the product page, or you can buy a small roll for a very affordable price. The smallest size we offer is a 4' x 4' mat in our Diamond Nitro Rolls. We have had many people uses these in dog kennels and doggy daycares. So hopefully more people will see our Nitro rolls as a perfect option for animal flooring.
My garage floor is very uneven and pitted. Can I lay out your vinyl roll over this floor or is there a better product available? My neighbor had his concrete slab replaced and I am looking for another option.
Gene
You can install our Coin Nitro Rolls over an uneven concrete surface. Depending on how deep and large the pits are there is potential for the flooring to become damaged. To help prevent this, you can place plywood over your damaged concrete subfloor and then place our vinyl rolls over the top of that.
Do you recommend an underlayment over a plywood surface in a bathroom or kitchen installation to help hide any irregularities in the floor surface. If so, what material and thickness do you recommend?
Erik
You can install our Coin Nitro Rolls over an underlayment. We would recommend installing it over a cork or foam underlayment. The thickness we would recommend would be 2.5mm for cork and 2mm for foam.
Is this a low voc product?
Nick
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are low VOC.
I read a review regarding "slippery when wet". My concern is that in Ohio the car will bring in snow / rain etc. When i pull in and stop, will the car slide on this flooring?
Steven Sorvold
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be little slick when walked on when wet. When driving over a wet roll, your tires will have enough traction to not slip.
Do you have this in RED?
Anonymous
Our Coin Nitro Rolls only come in three colors currently. They are Midnight Black, Stainless Steel, and Sahara Sand.
I installed one piece coined floor in my race trailer but the expansion and shrinkage of what I used makes it not ideal for this application. How much does your material shrink and expand due to the temperature?
Andy
With our Coin Nitro Rolls, there is no minimum or maximum for how much the material will expand or contract. Expansion and contraction are very dependent on the temperature, so this can vary greatly. The best way to minimize this is to use double-sided tape under the roll or to glue the roll down.
I would like to install the Coin Nitro in my basement which is on a concrete slab. What type of insulation would I need to keep cold air from coming through? Currently it is carpeted and I do not feel cold air.
Brian
You wouldn't need to add any insulation to our Coin Nitro Rolls over your concrete slab. These rolls are non-porous meaning cold air will not travel through the roll. If you did want to add insulation to these rolls, you could place a foam or cork underlay under these rolls for added comfort and warmth.
Planning to use your vinyl roll flooring on a newly constructed 14' x 36' wooden shed (truck, motorcycles, and garden tractor storage). The floor is plywood over 12"oc floor joists. Obviously, moisture will, over time, affect the wooden flooring. Has this product proven satisfactory in this type application? Since it won't cover a 14' width without a seam, do I need to worry about moisture (dripping from vehicles) leaking through said seam?
Joe K.
Our Coin Nitro Rolls have been used over a plywood subfloor successfully. These rolls are nonporous so that water won't flow through them. For seaming the rolls, we would recommend doing an overlap seam so that no liquids get under the rolls via the seam. For complete instructions on installing your rolls with this type of seam, please feel free to view our installation instructions on our site.
Can I use these for motorcycle mats? Will the kick stands / center stands cut through them? I also don't want to have to glue them down. Can I roll them out for when I want to do the dirty work on my bike and have them lie flat?
CC from Florida
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be used as a motorcycle mat. The kickstand from the bike will not leave a permanent mark in the vinyl. You can easily roll these rolls up and roll out these mats as need be for various projects.
Can the coin nitro product be laid over tile. We don't want to glue the product down but to use it to soften our tiled kitchen floor for our German Shepherd dog to lie on. The tile has sharp edges and is very hard on the dog's body. We were thinking of just laying this product without gluing it down to the kitchen tile. Would this product harm our kitchen tile and/or the grout? Thank you
Wendy B. Masse
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be laid over tile without having to glue it down. It will not affect the tile or the grout.
We have an upstairs stairway where people come out of water to enter the stairs. These are made of metal pans with concrete. Water dripping from people on the stairs leaks to the ceiling below through the edges of the steps. There are a couple of landings that are too large for on piece treads and risers to cover. I am thinking of getting this product and cutting treads and risers to cover those steps. Can this be bent and installed to cover 45-degree angles to seal the steps where risers meet tread and where tread meet walls and over the edges of steps? Would it endure foot traffic over the step edges?
Dwayne Mitchell
Our Coin Nitro Tiles can be molded to fit around stairs. These rolls are made from polyvinyl which is very flexible. These rolls were made to endure daily car traffic, so they will be able to withstand daily foot traffic with ease. Also, since these feature a coin pattern on the surface, they will be very slip resistant when wet.
We are needing a rubber flooring solution for a dog daycare we are remodeling now, is the Coin Nitro Rolls recommended for dog daycare?
Cynthia
Our Coin Nitro Rolls would be a perfect flooring option for a doggy daycare. This product is stain resistant and mold/mildew resistant. Since these rolls are non-porous, they are very easy to clean with a mild soap and water solution and will not let pee seep through to the subfloor.
Can I use this product in a walk-in cooler?
gary r coan
You can use our Coin Nitro Rolls in a walk-in cooler. Our Nitro Rolls are freeze/thaw stable. The Coin pattern will also provide slip resistance when wet.
Can this product be used over a plywood floor in a laundry room using a old ringer washer that needs to be rolled around?
Lee
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be installed over a plywood floor in a laundry room. These rolls are made to be installed in the harsh environment of a garage, so they are slip resistant and resistant to staining, mold, and mildew growth. Since they were developed for garages, they can handle rolling loads like cars and old ringer washers.
Can this be used over 2x6 deck boards on the outside, not covered patio?
Carl
Our Coin Nitro Rolls can be installed over deck boards in outside not covered patio. Our Coin Nitro Rolls are mold and mildew resistant, slip resistant when wet, and also fade resistant.
I am considering two standard grade nitro rolls for a two car garage. I am wondering how durable this is to cuts from car tires etc. Is the standard grade the most popular? Are the ratings based on standard grade installations?
George Walker
Our Standard grade Coin Nitro Rolls are really just our residential version of this product. They will not tear from car tires. These rolls were designed for use in a home garage with daily car traffic over it. These rolls are made from very durable polyvinyl and are resistant to staining, mold, mildew, and are resistant to most chemicals. The ratings on this product are for both commercial grade and standard grade installations. Our commercial grade is our most popular option.
Can I use hot or cold weld for the seams?
Alex
We do not recommend hot welding our Coin Nitro Rolls. You can use cold weld these rolls, but the best method for sealing the floor is actually to do an overlap joint at the seam. To find out how to do that, we recommend following the instructions in our installation section.
What do you do about floor drains?
Dave
You can cut our Coin Nitro Rolls to fit around floor drains. These rolls are made from flexible vinyl and are easy to cut with a sharp utility knife.
What is the R value of this product? Will in interfere with radiant in-floor heating?
Jacob
The approximate shore value for our Coin Nitro Rolls is 0.200. These rolls can be installed over a radiant heat system but since they are non-porous, you will more than likely not get the intended benefit of having the system.
We live in Midwest and so a lot of harsh weather/salt in winter, also I would like to know for a cement garage do you use glue to keep roll down?
deb mclain
You don't have to glue our Coin Nitro Rolls, and we recommend not using glue to install our Coin Nitro Rolls. This product is best used when not restricted from expanding and contracting. Also, cleaning these garage rolls can be made easier when you pull the rolls out of the garage to the driveway to take advantage of the slope allow for proper draining of the water used to clean your flooring. If you do want to have a more permanent install, you can use double-sided tape or a pressure sensitive adhesive around the edge of the roll.
Thinking about using this as bathroom flooring; How well does it work in a wet environment? Is it slip-resistant when wet? Can it be mounted with flash coving?
You can install our Coin Nitro Rolls in a bathroom. We have had many customers do this. These rolls are mold and mildew resistant and are also slip resistant when wet. We do recommend placing mats in the bathroom still since copious amounts of water can be present which could potentially cause a slip hazard. You can mount this vinyl roll with flash coving.
How best to seal seams & edges so can wash out with a power washer or water hose?
S C KEALIHER
To seal our Coin Nitro Rolls, you can either butt seam the rolls or overlap the rolls. An overlap seam is the best option when trying to prevent water from seeping down to the subfloor. To keep the seems in place, we recommend using either double-sided tape or a pressure sensitive adhesive. This will help to prevent liquids from flowing under the rolls.
Could I use this on the floor in a large commercial ski lodge restroom where skiers would be wearing wet ski boots?
-skier
You can use our Coin Nitro Rolls in a large commercial ski lodge restroom where ski boots would be present. Our Coin Nitro Rolls are non-porous and are mold and mildew resistant. The coin pattern on the surface of the roll helps to make it slip resistant even when wet.
I plan on using it to cover a weathered floating dock surface. Will it become to hot to walk on barefoot on hot summer days?
Nick
In direct sunlight, our Coin Nitro Rolls can become warm underfoot, but they will be cooler than concrete, asphalt, or even standard dock surfacing. To help keep these rolls cool in direct sunlight, we recommend spraying some water on them from time to time.
Can this be used to cover an outdoor deck?
al
You can install our Coin Nitro Rolls outdoors. These rolls are mold and mildew resistant and are very easy to clean and maintain. These rolls are also fade resistant, so you shouldn't see any color changes over time.
Can it be laid on top of a black mastic glue from the 1960's? I have varied opinions as to whether the glue creates a chemical reaction with vinyl causing a gooey mess and deterioration of the flooring.
Pam
You can install our Coin Nitro Rolls over black mastic glue. Since there could be some petroleum in the glue, we would recommend placing a plastic sheet between the mastic glue and our Nitro rolls. This will ensure that no reactions occur when the rolls are placed over the old glue.
Do you have to glue down or tape down the corners?
You do not have to glue or tape the corners down on our Coin Nitro Rolls. These vinyl garage rolls will lay down flat on their own.
I'm considering this product for the interior (cabin) deck covering for a charter fishing boat. It is imperative that it be non-skid, especially when wet. Is this the product for the job or do you recommend another?
Loren
Our Coin Nitro Rolls have been used for this purpose with great success. These rolls are non-slip even when wet due to the pattern on the top. They are also very easy to clean and maintain and are super easy to install.
Can you drive midsize 50 horsepower tractors on this product?
Mark Bivins
You can drive tractors of any size on our Coin or Diamond Nitro Rolls.
Can you actually work on cars and equipment on nitro vinyl flooring? Can it support a floor jack? What happens if gas spills on it?
Mike
You can work on cars and equipment on our Coin Nitro Rolls. These rolls were designed for this specific use. You can use a floor jack on our Nitro Rolls. The jack won't harm the flooring in any way. If left for a long period, the only thing you will see is an indentation where the floor jack was placed. The floor will bounce back a bit, but may not fully return to normal. If you were to spill anything on our garage vinyl rolls, the floor would not react. Our Nitro Rolls were designed to be resistant to most household and vehicle chemicals. All you will need to is just clean up the spill properly.
Is this material stain proof for a salon that does hair colors?
Marie Goldman
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are stain proof from hair dyes.
In a 20' x 20' garage and using 7' 5" wide rolls, should the seams run in line with the cars or across their path?
Geo
We would suggest running the seams in line with the cars. When you seam this floor, you can do it two different ways. You can butt the seams together, or you can overlap the seams. For the most water-tight installation, we recommend overlapping the seam.
How are the edges sealed?
We offer two solutions for seams with our Nitro Rolls. You can either butt the seams together or overlap the seams. We would recommend overlapping the seams to keep water or other liquids from getting under the rolls. You can butt the rolls together and keep water from getting under the rolls, but it can be a little more difficult to do since there can be some disparage in width between rolls.
We'd like to use this on our bathroom floor. What do you suggest we use as a "baseboard" to cover the expansion gap at the wall?
For the expansion gap around the wall in a bathroom, we would recommend placing caulk over it to create that watertight seal. You can use any caulk you like on our Coin Nitro Rolls.
Does standard grade hold up for cars and roll around heavy workbenches.
Bill H
Our Standard grade will hold up to cars, fitness equipment, and much more. These rolls are made from the same material as the commercial grade but are just a little thinner. The main difference between the two is the amount of time the flooring will last in extreme conditions. Our Commercial Grade Coin Nitro Rolls are made to withstand abuse for a longer period.
Can I use an engine hoist (cherry picker) with a v8 engine on the coin mat product?
Larry
You can use an engine hoist on our Coin Nitro Rolls. The added weight will not affect the roll in any way.
How thick is the rubber?
ziad nabbout
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are approximately 2.5mm thick for our commercial grade and 1.6mm thick for our standard grade.
Is the thickness of the coin mat measured at the base level or to the top of the coin part?
Rena
The thickness on our Coin Nitro Rolls is measured from the base to the top of the pattern.
Does this product/roll need to be installed? Could it just be used on the garage floor as a mat for under the cars?
Kent
When installing our Coin Nitro Rolls or our Diamond Nitro Rolls, you do not have to glue them or tape them down. We recommend just loose laying the rolls down as a mat. These are perfect as mats for cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
Will this flooring hold up to a metal shop environment?
Rocky
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are built tough and can withstand a metal shop environment. These rolls will not burn but may melt if something hot were to be dropped on it. Sparks from welding will not affect this floor but may leave some marks on our lighter colored mats. These can typically be cleaned away with a mild soap and water solution or with Purple Power.
I would like t install coin nitro on top of cement in a garage to create a yoga practice space. Does this flooring provide any cushion and does this sound like an acceptable application?
Stephanie Barksdale
You can use our Coin Nitro Rolls as a flooring surface for yoga, but the roll on its own would not provide you with a ton of cushion. We would recommend adding a carpet pad under the roll to provide you with that added cushion.
Can we install your Coin Nitro Rolls on decks, porches, and walkways?
Jose Carneiro
You can install our Coin Nitro Rolls on any hard flat surface. Decks, porches, and walkways are great subfloors for our Nitro Rolls. They are fade resistant so you shouldn't have changes in color. These rolls are also mold and mildew resistant and are somewhat slip resistant when wet. They are also very durable and weather resistant and are freeze/thaw stable.
What's the best option for a 2 car garage (2 SUV's); standard grade or commercial grade? Is it necessary to go for the commercial grade?
Jose Sifontes
Our Standard Grade Coin Nitro Rolls were designed for normal residential use while our commercial grade nitro rolls were designed to be used in commercial environments like workshops, auto bodies, and the like. Both are very durable and would truly work in either environment. The main difference is the thickness.
Is this product low-VOC certified?
Stacey
The rolls are not certified but we have tested for multiple phthalate types, cadmium, lead, mercury, chromium, PBBs, several bromobiphenyls and several ethers and they are free of all those.
How do you clean the black stains on this floor from dirt and tire buildup?
Depending on the stain, there are a few ways to clean it off of our Coin Nitro Rolls. First, if the staining that you are experiencing is from tar or dirt from the street, then you can easily use soap and water and some elbow grease or Purple Power to clean the flooring. If the staining if from your tires exclusively, this is a little bit tricky as there is no way to clean this. The only solution would be to either change out your mat to a Black mat or to place one of Auto Floor Guards floor protectors in the area where you park. This staining doesn't happen with every tire type, just with performance tires. If you need further assistance with trying to resolve your staining issues, please feel free to reach out to one of our Flooring Heroes either by phone, chat, or email.
Can I use a floor jack on it and roll a refrigerator on it without it rolling up?
gary
You can use a floor jack on our Coin Nitro Rolls without damaging the floor. You can also roll a refrigerator over the flooring without it rolling up. If for some reason the rolls did move when moving items over the rolls, you can place some double-sided tape or adhesive around the edge of the mats to keep them in place.
Should you fill in the groves in the garage floor before using the roll flooring?
robert berends
If the pits are fairly small in nature, you wouldn't have to fill them in to install our Coin Nitro Rolls. If the pits are fairly large, then we would recommend filling them as they can potentially cause damage to the roll. Large pits are ones that are 1" deep and more than 6" in diameter.
I installed Coil Nitro Rolls in our garage several years ago. It has been wonderful! Now we are converting part of the garage to housing for meat rabbits living in cages. The cages are equipped with pans to catch the rabbits' leavings. However, rabbit urine may be expected to spray out into the floor from time to time. Will the urine damage the flooring? Do we need to cover the Coin Nitro Roll material with something else to protect it from the rabbit urine?
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are durable enough to withstand urine falling on it. We would recommend cleaning up any messes promptly to ensure easy cleaning of the urine.
Can I use the flooring in the garage to place work out equipment on? Bike, Bowflex, and elliptical?
Rocco Palmi
Our Coin Nitro Rolls were designed to be used as flooring in garages where cars would be parked, worked on, where tool cabinets will be moved around and placed and the like, so placing workout equipment on the floor will not affect it in any way. The only thing you may notice is over time there may be some depression of the flooring where the workout equipment has been placed.
I plan on installing in 13' x 20' garage. How do you treat the edges? And the entry of garage? Will turning to exit the garage loosen the floor?
Bonnie wolfe
For the edge of the roll, there would be nothing that would need to be done. At the entry, you wouldn't need a ramp as the flooring is very thin, but you could add a ramp to the front of the garage if need be. If you have to turn to exit your garage, there is potential for the roll to move or bunch up depending on how much torque is being applied to the flooring. If you do run into this issue, we recommend gluing the roll with our Polyurethaned Adhesive or our 7700 Series adhesive.
I am actually thinking of using this flooring to recover my kitchen countertops on my boat. How heat resistant is it?
Delana
Our Coin Nitro Rolls are very heat resistant. The top layer on the roll is a thin-skin and may melt when hot items are placed on it, but the vinyl itself will not melt. Vinyl flooring has a melting point of 650-850 degrees Fahrenheit.
how do you get tire stains off?
If the staining if from your tires exclusively, this is a little bit tricky as there is no way to clean this. The only solution would be to either change out your mat to a Black mat or to place one of Auto Floor Guards floor protectors in the area where you park. This staining doesn't happen with every tire type, just with performance tires. If you need further assistance with trying to resolve your staining issues, please feel free to reach out to one of our Flooring Heroes either by phone, chat, or email.
I understand the coin flooring can be applied over epoxy cement, but can the coin flooring be applied in a garage that has epoxy and leveling cement poured on it to fill cracks and holes?
Rick
Nitro rolls really can be installed over any smooth, level surface.
I would like to use this products in a forklift showroom. Will it stand up to the weight of. 12000 lbs forklift?
Mark
The added weight will not damage the roll but you may be left with indentations do to the amount of extreme weight. The floor will bounce back a bit, but may not fully return to normal.
I want to use this in my garage, does it have to be glued down?

Can your product hold up to fine aggregate scrubbing by tires in a garage. My epoxy floor paint lasted two years.
John Schesny
These rolls are meant to be used in very harsh environments like garages and workshops, but they can be cut with a sharp item like a knife. Small rocks should not penetrate these rolls, but they may create surface scratches in the material. These minor scratches won't ruin the integrity of the material; they are more of a cosmetic issue.
Can these be installed in 0 degree weather?
Yes, they can be.
I make sausage in my garage and we get blood on the floor. Can we butted the seams together and make them water proof.

Yes you could. You'll want to glue the rolls down to ensure they don't expand and contract with temperature changes.
I am considering buying coin nitro roll (standard) on my garage floor. There are spots which have disintegrated, pitted and a few patches which are 1/8 - 3/16” deep. Will the flooring cover the imperfections?
Hugh viggiani
As long as the subfloor damage isn't too wide you should be fine. You can loose lay the rolls in your space and you can always fill in larger spots that are damaged if they start to telegraph through your roll.
It's going under parked vehicles, do I have to glue the entire roll or just the edges?
Harold
You can loose lay the rolls without the need of any adhesive if you'd like. If you'd prefer to have it glued you can use our spray adhesive around the perimeter.

I will be butting two 7.5' rolls side by side for a garage floor. Does the factory edge allow the coins to line up, so it looks a little more seamless? Thank you,
The coin pattern on our Coin Nitro Rolls is not guaranteed to line up when you install multiple rolls next to each other. The best way to make them appear more seamless is to overlap the rolls and cut them down the seam. You would have to try and line up the coins for this to be effective.
Can they withstand constant heat of 130 degrees?
Mark Grawe
Our Coin Nitro Rolls were designed to be used in garages which are typically spaces that are not temperature controlled. Our Nitro Rolls have also been used outdoors. It is possible in direct sunlight that our Nitro Rolls would get as hot as 130 degrees or hotter and not burn or melt. So, in theory, our Nitro Rolls can handle high temperatures for an extended period.

I recently retired from Snap-on Tools after 30 years and the renovated garage was a ″to me, from me″ gift. The flooring turned out really great and it is the ″wow″ factor when I show my garage to my friends. I installed it myself and am very proud of it. Thanks for a great product.

  Not Anti Slip when wet
Verified Purchase
Self-installed in Indoor Cement flooring
K9TS from Frankfort, IL wrote...
Customer Service is spectacular with RubberFlooringInc.... in regard to the floor I think the product is of decent quality although I purchased them for the anti slip purpose. When there is condensation on the ground or it is humid the flooring is extremely slippery! I was told it was anti slip, although I failed to ask if it was anti-slip when humid or wet. I do not recommend this product for anyone that has floors that condensate or if it will be in humidity... you will fall! Other then that during dry weather they are very anti slip.... just don't get them wet!

  Bathroom Flooring
Self-installed in Bathroom
Kelli from Bancroft, MI wrote...
We ordered this after seeing a blog about rubber flooring in a bathroom. We were looking for something that wouldn't be cold and that wouldn't cost a ton of money to install, and options besides tile were not recommended for a bathroom. After the research I ordered a sample and we loved it. I ordered a roll of the black and we installed it in our main bathroom. It was so easy to cut and place. It is seamless and so easy to keep clean, and we have extra to use! Love Love Love this product!
