Description - Our 1/2” thick designer soft tiles offer an attractive interlocking foam tile that is available in modern color options designed to match today's fashions. These designer series soft tiles are a premium grade foam tile flooring that has a "softer" than normal surface texture. The extra soft feel makes these tiles perfect for use as baby play mats and kids play room flooring. Each tile includes two detachable edge pieces to help make assembly and/or installation a snap. In addition, each tile is reversible and can be flipped over if another color is desired.
Note: There may be some surface imperfections and color variation. Also, our Foam products can be punctured by sharp animal nails, rough use, high heels, and moving furniture.
Material – Closed cell EVA foam
Size – 2' x 2'.
Thickness – 1/2 Inch nominal (~11mm)
Weight – Each tile weighs approximately 0.75 Lbs.
Spec Sheet - Printable Spec Sheet.
Recommended Uses – Soft Tiles have been used successfully in home exercise gyms, as inexpensive trade show exhibit flooring, as kids daycare flooring in schools and churches, and day care centers for kid’s play mats, as a fun alternative to carpet in kids bedrooms, in yoga and pilates studios, and in a variety of other locations where an interlocking foam matting would be useful to provide cushion under foot.
  • 1/2” Designer Soft Tiles are in stock and ready to ship via Fedex.
  • 1/2” thick Soft tiles typically ship the same day or the next business day and deliver within 2-7 business days depending on your location.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your interlocking floor mats ship and your tracking information becomes available.
  • 1/2” thick designer soft tiles are simple to clean and maintain. Due to the foam floor tiles being constructed of durable closed cell foam, liquids cannot penetrate the surface of the cushioned foam floor mats.
  • If the interlocking foam tiles do get something spilled on them or appear dirty, all that is required to clean them is to do a quick wipe of the soft floor tiles with a damp cloth and your low cost soft tiles will look like new.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
  • When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

  • "Softer" to the touch finish.
  • Perfect surface for infants, babies, and toddlers to play on.
  • Available in modern designer colors to match today's fashions.
  • Reversible and easy to clean.
  • Each tile includes two detachable edge pieces.
  • Note: Removable corner can become a choking hazard.

Are you the manufacturer of the designer tiles? If yes, can you create custom tiles?

We are the manufacturer of our 1/2" Designer Soft Tiles. Since are tiles are made from a mold, making a custom tile is very difficult. The tiles were beautiful, easy to install and felt great. They would have been fabulous if they were cordoned off with a rope. Unfortunately, I had to use mine. They were used as flooring in a mosque nursery where shoes were not permitted. They are incredibly soft and delicate, chairs and table legs, even those that are padded, leave permanent indentations and marks. Cleaning is also a problem. They have a porous texture that somehow allows dirt to penetrate but not to be removed. As much as I love the look and feel of the flooring, I would not recommend them for anything other than extremely (impossibly) light use. We have only had them for two weeks, they have only been used 6 times for 1hr durations and look really worn. The Rubber Flooring Inc, however, I am very happy with. Delivery and customer service and value for money are all excellent, I just wish I had gone with a different product.

The flooring was very easy to install. I installed the flooring in my home gym which gets used about three times a week. I have an eliptical, dumb bells and olympic weights. After about three weeks there are a few small stress tears in the floor caused by dropping the weights on the floor. I imagine this was caused by the concrete floor underneath.

the only problem with the tiles is they do not match up to the 1/2inch ABC-123 tiles I bought. they are slightly taller and do not inner lock. we used them to border the large ABC-123 mat and had to cut them with a razor knife to make them fit. there also needs to be a how to care for instruction sheet for cleaning and sanitizing.

These tiles are fine. I don't really know what rates as great or terrible in the soft tile world. I would suppose these are above average. I got a light olivey green and some of the tiles were slightly different color. If these were for a fancy indoor room that would have been disappointing. Anything heavy will definitely make an impression, but so far it bounces back. Also, they get dirty easily, but seems to be easy to wash. I'm sure that pets' nails could scratch and tear them, but I don't have pets that will be in this room. Super easy to install. These are being used in a very humid environment and seem to ebb and swell a bit.

we purchased the two sides mat for our daughter as playmat in our living room. We were playing with the colors and picked grey yellow pink and blue as the four tone and mixed and matched. The turnout is beautiful. Although the only thing Inwant to mention is the yellow is quite light colored and kind of easy to look messy. The cleaning is OK, using vacuum on the playmat is a little tricky. you can only go in one direction. Overall it's a good buy and I will recommend it to my friends.

These foam tiles are great. I like the two-tone colors, the reversibility of the tiles and the ability to quickly clean or replace a section. I also like the comfort and feel of the titles which allow my family the ability to walk in comfort on the coming cold floor days. All-in all the product was good and I loved being able to mix and match reversible tiles to great ‘my’ preferred design. My only hesitation to purchase again would be the unprofessional condition of the packing of the tiles received. Yes, I understand that I purchased different amounts of several reversible colors, but might there be a way to temporarily rebind these tiles within the shipping box so they would not be loose some even out of any packaging. Also, the shipping box was not seal securely so on delivery the box was torn, battered, not taped to seal and had me wondering whether I even had the 15 titles I ordered. A snip of one piece of tape and the titles fell out and (thankfully) were ok. An unsightly mess on my work office floor.

I purchase my first set of tiles for music class in 2012 and loved them. I purchased 15 more of the same due to class increase and the tiles were bulging a bit and didn't quite fit together...over the weeks it is settling in a bit and a little less lumpy..I think the die cut should remain constant in case it is necessary to purchase additional tiles in future years to add to an existing floor. I have to disassemble and reassemble weekly as other classes utilize the same classroom. I have a music class with birth-5 years with parents, so it needs to be clean and fresh each week. They do clean easily so I do appreciate this . It does work though, and generally I am very happy with the product and the service.
  Goodbye Concrete Legs

I discovered this foam flooring online while I was searching for a floor for my pickup with camper shell which I am turning into a working "rv/studio". What I liked about the product is that it is safe for children's playrooms etc. and non toxic. I ordered samples, and was very pleased with all that were sent and settled on the two sided one which I am happy to report is really a fantastic product. The guys doing the conversion to my truck were also very impressed and have ordered samples for their workshop. I told them it was time to say "goodbye to concrete legs!"
