3/8" Equipment Mats are easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance of this vulcanized rubber flooring mats typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber surface when necessary.

Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

Customer Questions & Answers

Don't see what you're looking for?
Can this mat be used on Pergo flooring under a treadmill?
These mats will work great as a treadmill mat over your Pergo flooring.
Can these mats be used over a low pile carpet? And will the black rub off onto the carpet?
Our 3/8" Equipment Mats can be used over a low pile carpet. If your carpet is a light colored carpet, there is potential for some staining. What we suggest is using a plastic sheet between the rubber mat and the carpet to prevent this.
Is this mat safe to use on luxury vinyl plank flooring? I've heard rubber backing can damage these type floors.
Over modern luxury vinyl planks, our 3/8" Equipment Mats will not stain the flooring. What we recommend for when using our rubber over these types of floors is to add a sheet of plastic between the vinyl and rubber to ensure not staining occurs.
Some of the questions indicate plastic is needed under the mat to prevent staining over carpeting, hardwood, or both? Won't the rubber mat slide on the plastic?
The 3/8" Equipment Mats won't slip when placed over the plastic sheeting. These rubber mats are very heavy and will stay in place. During certain exercises, there is a potential for the mat to move more easily, but this is a very rare occurrence.
What type of plastic sheet do you recommend? Where would I buy?
If you want to place a plastic sheet under our 3/8" Equipment Mats, you can use virtually any type you would like. You can find plastic floor protectors at any local hardware store.

We have a gym quality treadmill and needed to project the tile floors. The mat we purchased was a perfect fit and came in two pieces allowing quick installation. I needed to make sure we bought a mat that was thick enough. This one did the trick. We will be ordering a 2nd one for a rowing machine. Cheers Customer Uploaded Photo Customer Uploaded Photo

Needed something heavy for a future treadmill that will go on a low pile carpet. After reading reviews on cheaper mats, I'm glad I went with the 3'x7' mat. Being vulcanized it smelled like a new tire, but not obnoxiously. Washed it with soap/water. I ordered a 3'x10' clear carpet runner from Home Depot which fit under this mat perfectly. There was no noticeable odor after everything was in place in the room. Very happy and would purchase this again for future equipment. The 7' mat is 42 lbs. so it was easier to maneuver being 2 pieces and laid flat with no issues.

The mat that I received from Bowflex was not thick enough to handle the weight of my treadmill. I told Bowflex this, sent them pics of the torn mat and told them that they should team up with Rubber Flooring for a thicker equipment mat. This mat can handle the weight .... pound for pound. I hope that Bowflex reaches out to you. Their mat cost more, is very thin, and will tear up as soon as you place heavy equipment on top of it.
