Description - Love the durability of our Coin Flex Nitro Tiles but need a smooth top to easily roll chairs and tool chests around on? Then look no further than our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles. These interlocking garage tiles feature all the great features that you have come to love with our Coin Flex Nitro Tiles but have a textured, smooth surface that is great for items with wheels or casters. With a hidden interlocking system, these tiles will prevent liquids from penetrating to the subfloor below and will give you a more finished tiled floor look. A 15-year warranty backs our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles.
Note: Smooth Flex Nitro tile colors are produced in batches, which can lead to color variations in your order. All colors may present some color variation, but Black, Dark Grey, and Light Grey can produce the most. These three colors can vary greatly between batches and thus it is recommended that you order more flooring than is needed for mistakes and replacements. This, in, turn, gives you the greatest chance to keep continuity across your floor. Batching will also affect color variation between samples and your order with Black, Dark Grey and Light Grey showing the most variation.
Material – Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles are constructed entirely of a proprietary blend of flexible PVC that guarantees the most durable garage tile on the market. This custom PVC blend also ensures that the tiles are flexible and have the anti-fatigue flooring qualities often associated with rubber flooring but also the durability, long life, and chemical resistance associated with PVC tiles.
Size – 20.5" x 20.5"
Thickness – 5mm
Weight – 4.1 Lbs. per tile.
Recommended Uses – Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles were made for use in garages but have been used as flooring in kitchens, dens, as spare room flooring, in basements, as laundry room flooring, as patio flooring, and much more.

Smooth pattern interlocking floor tiles are easy to clean. Cleaning of these multi use tiles typically includes:
  • Sweeping or vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary.
  • Periodic damp mopping of the garage tiles with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
  • Due to each tile being coated with a protectant silicone sealant, the tiles may become scuffed or scratched during the installation process or while moving large objects. To help reduce the appearance of scratches or scuff marks we recommend using Armstrong’s Shine Keeper.

Note: This is not a stain proof product. Street tar can cause staining to light colored tiles, and in most instances, this staining can be remedied with a cleaner called Purple Power. If you have performance tires, staining can occur with light colored tiles. In most instances, this may not be remedied with a cleaner. If the staining on your floor does not dissipate, please contact our dedicated Customer Service team at 800-613-0996 who can further assist you.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Snap a chalk line on the sub floor 20” from one wall in your room. Snap another chalk line on the subfloor 20” from an adjacent wall. You should now have a pair of perpendicular lines making an approximate 90-degree angle.
  • Begin laying the interlocking tiles along the chalk lines, snapping the locks together as you go.
  • Leave the perimeter of the room open until the field is installed.
  • After the field is covered, go back and cut in lines along the walls in the room. Leaving a gap at the wall roughly the thickness of tiles being used is recommended to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

Don't see what you're looking for?
My mother’s garage floor is spalled, but not deeply. I don’t want to patch it as it will be so thin that I don’t believe it will hold up through the winters. Can Ii pressure wash it and install one of the interlocking tile products.
If the spalling is minor, you can easily install our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles over the current subfloor just removing any large debris that is present. Sweeping or power washing it would do the trick of getting it cleaned.
I’m building a wood shop, and much of the equipment is on rollers, and I occasionally will need to move the equipment. Items like a cabinet saw weigh approximately 600 lbs. Are the smooth flex nitro tiles able to withstand this?
Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles can withstand the weight of a car, so any heavy equipment will be able to roll over the flooring without damaging the tiles. These tiles are also car jack approved, meaning that you can use a car jack on the tiles without damaging the tiles. The only thing that you will notice under come smaller wheels and jacks is some denting on the tiles. Depending on how long the heavy object has been in the one spot, determines how permanent the indentation will be.
Does the flex nitro tiles help with insulation if laid down on top of a concrete floor in my garage?
lee heekin
Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles are a good insulator of both sound and temperature. These tiles will help to keep any space warmer than is there was just a concrete floor in the space.
Installing the 12' floor reducer strips. What adhesive do you recommend? Do I glue it to the floor, tile or both?
If you needed to keep the reducers for our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles in place, we recommend using either double-sided tape or a pressure sensitive adhesive. You wouldn't need to glue the tiles as they are interlocking tiles and require no glue. These modular floor tiles are meant to be installed as a floating floor.
Are the Smooth Nitro Flex tiles slippery when wet?
Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles can get slippery when wet. There is a slight texture to the tiles, but it is not enough to make them slip resistant when wet.

These tiles are great, they are very easy to install, look amazing and are very easy to clean. I am using them in a 20x21 garage. It took me about 8 hours from start to parking my cars back in the garage. That was with a few breaks and doing it 100% by myself moving all the stuff in and out of the garage is included in that time. If I didnt have to do that I could have easily done this in a few hours, very simple. One word of advice, I dont care what anyone says these are not that easy to cut with a utility knife, you can do it it but it will take forever. I used my Dewalt 60 volt circular saw and they cut like butter in seconds. It definitely makes the job a ton easier.

I needed a floor that I could put in my basement that would last flooding from time to time. I got samples of this floor and decided to go with this floor. Glad I did, as this spring we have already had flooding twice. The floor has stood up well and was easy to clean. I just pull the tiles up, cleaned them, let them air dry and then reinstalled them. Now looking to use these in other areas. Also, told some of my neighbors about this product that have had the same issue and hopefully they buy them too.

We have a basement and we get water in it from time to time, but typically our sump pump does the job. Well, over the last year, we have had two failures with it that have ruined the carpeting and flooring in the basement. So while looking for an alternative, I came across an article this company had written about basement flooring and was intrigued. I called in and talked to a sales agent and they suggested this product as an alternative to carpet or even rubber. After getting samples I was sold. The install was super easy and now if I were to have the same thing happen, I know I won't have to worry about the floor. All I would have to do is pull it up, clean it, let it dry and reinstall. Thanks!
