Description - Coin Flex Tiles are one of our most popular garage floor tiles. The raised coin pattern design is not only very attractive but it also helps to prevent slipping when wet. Flex tiles are easy to clean, highly chemical resistant, and interlock tightly to form a durable and long lasting flooring for garages.
Note: Flex tile colors are produced in batches, which can lead to color variations in your order. All colors may present some color variation, but Black, Dark Grey, and Light Grey can produce the most. These three colors can vary greatly between batches and thus it is recommended that you order more flooring than is needed for mistakes and replacements. This, in turn, gives you the greatest chance to keep continuity across your floor. Batching will also affect color variation between samples and your order with Black, Dark Grey and Light Grey showing the most variation.
Material – Coin Flex Tiles are constructed entirely of a proprietary blend of flexible virgin PVC that guarantees the most durable garage tile on the market. This custom PVC blend also ensures that the tiles are flexible and have the anti-fatigue flooring qualities often associated with rubber flooring but also the durability, long life, and chemical resistance associated with PVC tiles.
Size – 20.5" x 20.5"
Thickness – 0.177" (4.5mm)
Weight – 4 Lbs. per tile.
Recommended Uses – Coin Flex Tiles were originally designed to be used as a garage floor tile however they are now considered a multi-use tile. Besides being used in garages, these interlocking PVC tiles have been used successfully in home gyms, in mud and utility rooms, as storage shed flooring, as trade show flooring, as a retail display flooring, in airport hangars, and as a floor surface in warehouses or manufacturing facilities.

Coin pattern interlocking floor tiles are easy to clean. Cleaning of these multi use tiles typically includes:
  • Sweeping or vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary.
  • Periodic damp mopping of the garage tiles with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
  • Due to each tile being coated with a protectant silicone sealant, the tiles may become scuffed or scratched during the installation process or while moving large objects. To help reduce the appearance of scratches or scuff marks we recommend using Armstrong’s Shine Keeper.

Note: This is not a stain proof product. Street tar can cause staining to light colored tiles and in most instances this staining can be remedied with a cleaner called Purple Power. If you have performance tires, staining can occur with light colored tiles. In most instances this may not be remedied with a cleaner. If the staining on your floor does not dissipate, please contact our dedicated Customer Service team at 800-613-0996 who can further assist you.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Snap a chalk line on the sub floor 20” from one wall in your room. Snap another chalk line on the subfloor 20” from an adjacent wall. You should now have a pair of perpendicular lines making an approximate 90-degree angle.
  • Begin laying the interlocking tiles along the chalk lines, snapping the locks together as you go.
  • Leave the perimeter of the room open until the field is installed.
  • After the field is covered, go back and cut in lines along the walls in the room. Leaving a gap at the wall roughly the thickness of tiles being used is recommended to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

What is the difference between Coin Flex and Coin Nitro Flex Tiles?
Patrick Garfield
The main differences between the Coin Flex Tiles and the Coin Nitro Flex Tiles are that there are more colors available for the Coin Flex Tiles and the interlocking system. Other than that, they are virtually the same tiles.
I'm looking for a response from users that battle winter elements. We live in Michigan and we have snow. My concern is the floor will be subjected to melting snow and salt 3 months out of the year. Is it a problem with the water seaping under the tiles with no place to dry? I'm concerned with mold and mildew and tiles lifting off the floor.
Our Coin Flex Tiles have been installed all over the U.S. and Cannada, and snow, ice, and salt do not affect the tiles one bit. These tiles interlock very tightly, so water, in most instances does not seep underneath the tiles. These tiles are mold and mildew resistant, so you wouldn't have to worry about it growing on your new flooring. The only time you would see mold or mildew would be in the rare case some food or other organic material got trapped underneath the tiles. If your concrete floor has a high moisture content, what you will see are the salts and minerals trapped under tiles; This typically looks like white mold, but it not. You would need to seal your concrete floor and then clean the tiles with Purple Power.
Do your coinflex tiles contain phthalates? or VOCs?
Our Coin Flex Tiles are Phthalate free and contain no VOCs. If you would like and MSDS for these tiles, please feel free to contact one of our flooring heroes and they will be more than happy to send it to you.
Can a lift and or jacks and jack stands be used on these tiles?
A lift or jack stand can be used on our Coin Flex Tiles. These tiles are jack stand safe. When a jack is placed on these tiles, they only thing that you will notice is that when you place weight on the jack, that there will be an indentation where the jack is placed.
So I'm expecting delivery of 36 cases of Coin Flex Tiles tomorrow. These will be installed on a concrete slab. I've completed one coat of concrete sealer and plan to add a second coat. My intention is to place sheet of 6m plastic vapor barrier between the sealed concrete and the new tiles. Do you see any problems with using the plastic as an extra barrier? Thank you.
Gary L Thompson
You can place a plastic sheet under our Coin Flex Tiles without it causing issues with your install. The tiles will not slide around as the weight of the entire floor will be enough to hold the flooring down.

  Garage floor
Installed in Garage
Angie King from Columbus GA wrote...
I have a 3 car garage and it seems to get a lot of use. I tend to think of it as an extension of my home and like it to be clean and tidy. I have been re-painting the garage floor with a stain each year but it continues to stain and flake. I was out of choices other than tiling the floor. I measured the floor and called to discuss measurements. It was easy to get estimates and then place my order. I received it very quickly and curbside delivery was fine. I had ordered the dark gray and I am very pleased with the color. I also ordered the trim pieces to finish off the floor. I had it professionally installed and the floor looks great! However, I did not like the trim pieces. They are made of a flimsy plastic and made the floor look cheap. I had the installers cut the tiles to make a finished edge and I found this to look much better. The dark gray color was a good choice but it shows any dust(or pollen). I am sweeping the floor regularly with a Swiffer and this seems to do the job. The floor seems to be of high quality and I expect it to last a very long time. I was skeptical about water from the tires penetrating the seams but this does not happen. Overall, the floor exceeded my expectations and I would say I am a perfectionist.

  Steve's new garage
Self-installed in Garage

Started on moving everything out of the garage at 11:00 in the morning and moved everything back in at 9:00 that evening. Tiles were easy to install and easy to cut. It was time comsuming but at age 60, there were a lot of breaks taken. Everyone that has seen the floor says it looks like something you would see in a car magazine. May have to go but a sports car now.

I got to these folks from the images I saw on Google. I called them and gave the lady my measurements and she took over. She figured it up and gave me the best price possible and even helped me cut some corners to get an even better price to boot. The customer service is second to none with these folks. The lead time was excellent. We had our product in five days from purchase and it would have been four days except Fedex had to reset delivery because of a tailgate situation. The product was just as it was described in their online site. In fact it was even better than we hoped for. The texture of the tiles is hard to explain but so cool and soft under your feet. We installed a 20x20 garage in less than 2 hours. I am now trying to find some other surface that we can do to order some more product. I definitely recommend this company and product to anyone thinking about adding some flair to their floors... easy as pie....Note: rubber hammer is a plus.
