This pad is great! It is firm but is shock absorbent. Very durable, it will take years to wear these mats down. Its very easy to install. We put it under our artificial grass and it worked out great! The water drains right through and is not soggy. We are very happy with these mats.

When installed under turf it will soften impacts but was not as soft as I expected. Not easy to cut to curves around pool deck but we got it done. The tongues and slots arrangement are such that it only goes together one way, so you should order extra material to account for waste.
