For cutting rubber rolls that are nominally 4 feet wide, this T-square has three deficiencies. First, the rolls are more than 4 feet wide by up to an inch. So, you have to cut the last inch freehand. Second, the 1/4″ thickness of the aluminum structure of the T-square limits the depth into a rubber roll to which a box cutter blade can reach. So, you may need to remove the T-square and finish the cut freehand. Third, if the rubber roll is less than 1/4″ thick, the cross bar of the T-square will prevent the shaft of the T-square from lying flat on the rubber near the cross bar. This air gap increases the likelihood of the blade wandering in that region. Forewarned, though, the product is very useful.
