Customer Questions

Don't see what you're looking for?
Is there a zipper or velcro closure for removing the case, or is it sewn shut?
Eric B
The casing has a zipper to keep the outside vinyl casing closed.
Does the 5'x10' x 12" mat fold?
Our Crash Mats do not fold. They are meant to be stacked together when stored or can be leaned up well together. You can look at our folding landing mat options if you need something more transportable.
Can the mats be attached together so there is not a gap between them?
Scott
The Crash Mat does not come with any hook and loop attachment that would allow multiple mats to be joined together. The handles can be lashed together if needed, as there are two handles on each of the long sides.
Are these mats 8 inches of closed-cell foam? Or are there layers of open-cell foam?
Mike Weiss
Our Crash Mats are made with cross-linked polyethylene foam. This type of foam is a durable closed-cell material with incredible impact damping and chemical resistance.
Hello! Are these rated for outdoor use? Rain, UV, etc. Also - could this possibly be intended for use as a landing pad for kids jumping off a zip line? (As a safe place to land?) thanks for your help!!
Meghann
You can use our Crash Mats outdoors, but the vinyl on the mats features mesh sides to provide added shock absorption when you fall on the mat. This meshed side could get wet when it rains and could potentially grow mold and mildew if organic material were to get through the mesh. So, we would recommend bringing them in when it rains. The vinyl isn't UV resistant, so if you keep the mats outdoors, over time in direct sunlight, the color of the mat will fade a bit.
I want to put a crash mat down over ceramic tile. Do you think we need another tile mat to go under it?
Melissa
Our Crash Mats are safe to use over ceramic tiles. While you do not need additional mats under it, adding extra mats underneath would provide additional padding for any rough falls.
Can these be use for a home climbing wall where a fall from the top would be 7-8'?
Josh
Our Crash Mats are an excellent choice for cushioning falls of this height.
