how to reduce the hollow sound of floor when walking on it

Using a foam underlayment underneath the floor and a moisture barrier can help reduce/minimize the sound. The hollow sound could also happen because of an uneven subfloor. If the floor is uneven, you would want to make it even first and then install the planks over it.
