Cork is a waterproof material that also breathes to allow water to quickly dissipate through the mat. This means that your yoga mat will not get slick from sweat when doing Bikram or hot yoga. Also, since this mat is made from cork it also has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that will help keep your mat clean and safe. Another great feature of this mat is it’s rubber bottom. This rubber bottom gives the yoga mat stability when doing various exercises and also gives the mat extra durability. Unlike many other yoga mats, this material features no toxic materials which can be found in other mats such as phthatlates, dioxins and other heavy materials. Since these substances are not found in this yoga mat, it ensures this mat is not only durable but safe as well.
