Description - Our new and improved "Softer to the touch" 5/8” thick interlocking soft tiles are an excellent choice for a light weight and portable tile solution designed for use in areas where soft flooring would be beneficial. These foam tiles are also waterproof, sound proof, shock absorbent, and insulating. In addition, the soft tile products are 100% allergen free and contain no latex.
Material – Closed cell EVA foam rubber
Size – 2' x 2' (Note: Tiles do overlap 1.125” where they lock together)
Thickness – 5/8 Inch nominal (~14mm)
Weight – Tiles weigh approximately 1.25 Lbs. each.
Recommended Uses – Soft Tiles have been used successfully in home exercise or fitness rooms, as pilates and yoga mats, as kid’s play room flooring, and any other area where long periods of standing occur and/or a cushioned flooring system would be useful.
All of our 5/8” Soft tiles are in stock and ready to ship via Fedex Ground. Soft tiles typically ship the same day or the next business day and deliver within 2-7 business days depending on your location. An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your tiles ship and your tracking information becomes available.
5/8” thick soft tiles are very easy to maintain. Due to the tiles being constructed of durable closed cell foam, no liquids can penetrate the surface of the tiles. If the tiles do get something spilled on them or appear dirty, all that is required to clean them is to do a quick wipe of the tiles with a damp cloth and your soft tiles will look like new.

the vinyl tiles are great quality. We are very happy with the thickness. I wish they had more colors to offer in the thickness. Like a burgundy or natural tones. They have a maroon but not in this thickness. That would be my only request. They have a purple, but it's too purple, they could use more color options for main areas of a house like a play /family room:)

Purchased for toddler and soon to be baby play area over hardwood floor. Very pleased with product. My daughter played on them instantly out of the box and the whole time we were installing them. They are light, easy to install, and provide a really nice floor area for all ages to enjoy. I could also see using these tiles for exercising such as yoga & cardio workouts. I personally would not set heavy gym/exercise equipment on it. For that, I would go with a heavy duty rubber floor, just my opinion.

You really do get what you pay for. Quality matches price. Soild and easy to assemble. The only negative comment would be the "texture" or feel. Not smooth so not as easy to clean as described. But still very good product.

Great product bought this product to get rid of area rug dust. The mats has helped eliminate dust in our twin boys bedroom,and gave them a soft place to play... The only reason I gave four stars is that the corners of the mats tear off very easily, and once they are tore off they are tore off!.. No putting them back together!... If you guys could improve the corners this will be a 5 Star Product!

I bought these rubber tiles to block large pieces of lace knitting, which I design and knit. I configure them to the size and shape I need and after I finish I take them apart and store them. They work very well. The edge pieces are odd in that they only fit very particular ways and so end up making more work then they are worth. I do not need those edges for my purpose anyway... I would recommend these if you are looking for a large, modular blocking surface.

My 5/8" soft tiles are great on the feet. I am using them behind the counter in my coffee shop. It really has helped my tired feet - BUT - In this busy, liquid spilling environment, it is hard to keep clean. I have tried mopping the tiles, but all the stains do not come clean.
But it is a good product for what it was designed for, my tired feet.

I am very happy with this flooring. I use it for cardio workouts over a cement floor in my basement and it has really taken the pressure off my knees. The color match between tiles is not perfect, but that does not bother me since I'm the only one who sees it. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of odor from the tiles, as others that I had considered had a chemical smell to them. I have already recommended this flooring to friends!

I installed these tiles (which was pretty easy) in an enclosed patio for the kids to play on. They really enjoy the tiles but now that the weather is warmer I've noticed it bubbling up in a few spots. Overall, the material seems pretty easy to mark up as well. My beagle ran across it once and put some very noticeable scratches in it. I have foam alphabet tiles that I've owned for over 3 years from a different manufacturer that my dog has run across several times and left no marks.

I installed about 800 sq ft of the 5/8" soft tile in my garage to do double duty. It is a great product for sprucing up the garage and providing a very comfortable surface for working on my vehicles. The double duty piece is that I can pull the cars out and have a great martial arts training area. Parking vehicles on this flooring leaves small tire depressions, but they are not enough to cause problems when the floor is used for martial arts.

We purchased the 5/8" Soft tiles in several colors we used to make a pattern. The colors shown on the website are very close to what we received and the pattern turned out great! The colors are beautiful and vibrant - perfect for an exercise room. The density is excellent for walking, jumping, or laying on, making floor exercises much easier. We purchased these floors for our nursery and they look wonderful. They do allow for indentations very easily, such as after only a few minutes with very light weight, but after a few weeks it went back to normal. For the price, we are not unhappy at all and we would purchase this product again.

Seems to be holding up well in my basement workshop. I needed a cushion for my bad feet and these are working well. I had to use some pvc tiles I had left over from another project to use for the shop stool as it was apparent that anything with pointed legs would damage the soft tiles. Other than that it does work well, does not vacuum up as well as I would like but does okay.

These tiles are easy to install and so comfortable to sit and walk on. Only problems are that they have an oily film on them that has caused us all to slip on the hard wood floors as we leave the art room. After repeated washings, this oily sheen has reduced, and we are much happier, but both the kids and the adults took numerous falls. Also, just the kids sitting in kids folding chairs has caused bad pitting on the tiles. They don't "rebound" as much as expected.

We used this for a back porch with a cement floor. It slopes so that makes it more difficult to cover. We wanted the Gkids to have a soft area to play. It is perfect and easy to clean for this room. My only dissapointment is our dog put scratches in it right away, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Very bright and pretty!

We have been very pleased with the flooring we purchased from Rubber Flooring, inc. It was shipped quickly and was very easy to instal. My one disappointment has been the fact that the tiles seem to pit very easily. We are using the product in a room for our 3 small dogs. After a few hours of play, the flooring has many pits in it from the dogs toenails. If this weren't a dog room, I would be dissapointed, however, we expect things like this to happen when dealing with dogs. Overall, I think this is a great product and would definitely purchase again from Rubber Flooring, inc.

I bought the 5/8" soft tiles in an effort to cover the large unfinished portion of the basement in our new house. My wife and I have 2 young boys and I wanted them to have a large play area that was safe and relatively inexpensive.
We moved into our new home and all it took me was a 2 hour window in time to not only lay the 480 sq ft, but also cut the edging to fit.
The nice thing is that the floor is smooth and the kids toy cars can roll without hitting bumps where the mats connect. This is also nice since I was concerned that those connection points might be a tripping hazzard.
I definitely recommend this for others.

In comparison to a lot of other retailers, the overall cost for the quality of these tiles couldn't be beat. The fact that they came available with pre-cut edges was a huge bonus. A lot of tiles from other places only come with small pieces that create the edges.
The mats are being used in our kids' playroom and work great. Shipping was timely as well. Nice tiles!

Our shipment of interlocking 5/8" Soft tiles came so quickly, was set up in minutes, and has been enjoyed by the family since. We have Marble floors throughout the living space of our home. Beautiful to look at, but not so great for a baby to play on. Our little one plays and is even learning how to crawl on her Soft Tile mats. They're so easy to keep clean, they hold their shape. We just love them.

My wife and I are very disappointed with the product quality of these tiles because the center, border and corner pieces are all from different shade dye-lots, and a couple of tiles are defective. The customer service representative took care of us right away and replaced the tiles with the 5/8" Reversible Tiles free of charge but I expected this first product to be nicer.

Good floor for the price, but the color was off between the tiles like they were from different batches. I used it at a homeshow and it was easy to install and remove. I did not have time to get the free samples and I would in the future. The color on my computer was off from the tiles.

I purchased tiles for basement for my kids' playroom and for an in-home gym. The tiles were ez to install and the colors we picked (green, black, and lime look really cool in the kids' room. I like how the website helps you to design a really cool pattern. The kids love rolling around and running in the new room. No boo boos whhen they fall. The only issue we had was 2 of our green tiles were a different color green (more of an teal) than the others, but the staff were very helpful to fix the problem. As of this review I haven't gotten the new tiles, but I'm sure there will be no problem.

I installed my floor in area that was about 20 x 10. The packaged was delivered on a small pallet and I took the large tiles down to the basement. All in all, the installation took me about 15 minutes to unpack the tiles and take them to the basement and about an hour to lay down. They snapped together easily and best part is you can barely see the seams between the tiles. They stay together well but the black does show dirt a little more than I thought it would but oh well its for a gym floor. All in all, easy to install, very low odor, great floor protechtion for heavy weights.

Installing it was a snap! Enjoying it is even better. I have taken pictures of my beautiful screened patio and showed to family & friends. They too may purchase this product and choose their own color. I have shown this to carpet /flooring businesses and asked why they couldn't carry this product, as I feel this would boost their businesses and diversify their inventory.

I purchased the 5/8" interlocking soft tiles for home use. Used for mostly for Yoga, they rest on a tile floor and provide the perfect amount of support. Not too soft, not hard. They are easy to place - and take up if needed: I don't usually leave the them down for long periods, as I purchased a small footprint and pick them up after use. In the summer it gets damp and didn't want moisture issues. In winter, not a problem. I also had occasion to speak with a Customer Service Rep who was helpful and informed. Very happy with the product.

Just writing a quick review to let you know how happy we are with our new playroom flooring. We lost our wall to wall carpeting to heavy flooding in March 2010 when our sump pump failed. Finally after 3 months of trying to decide what to replace the flooring with we found your web site. after much review, research and debate we decided on the 5/8 in soft interlocking tiles.
After placing our order on a Tuesday afternoon, I believe the tiles were in our driveway 2 days later on Thursday morning!! Installation was easy and it looks and feels fabulous!! We went with the black and white tiles to give our playroom/gameroom a fun modern look and we love it!!!!

Bought the 5/8" interlocking tiles for flooring in a home gym. It was easy to install, and looks nice, but if I had the option to do it again, I would spend a little extra and get a sturdier tile. The 5/8" tiles shifted after I fitted them to the room, leaving a gap along one wall. I do not believe there is anything wrong with the product, but a sturdier tile would have worked better.

These tiles were very easy to install and look great. I am using them for my home gym and they are perfect! The web site makes choosing a product and ordering very easy. The only bad part was the cost of shipping. It was so expenive it almost doubled the price of my order.

I stand when I create my handbuilt clay pieces. We laid the tiles over an existing cement floor in my clay studio. This took about two days. It was not too difficult, just slow with accurate measuring. I used the industrial grey seconds tiles and it just looks like, well, a studio! It is SO nice to my feet and legs. I am very happy with my purchase.

We purchased the 5/8” soft tiles for a Louisville Trend Home and Garden show. The tiles installed quickly in a 21’ by 21’ area. After installing the tiles the floor looked like a professional installed it. Before we bought your floor product we used pad and carpet. The carpet had humps from being stored away all year. The soft floor comes up easily and we store it back in its original boxes. This will allow us to use this floor over and over. The Home show was a three day event. The guys that worked the show noticed the difference in comfort, not only did they but the home owners where stopping in are both to rest their feet from all the walking on concrete floors. We gave out several e-mail links to home owners who wanted this product for their home gyms. Thanks for such a great product.

We put the down in a basement excercise room with excellent results. I cut them to fit the area and it was very easy. Like other have suggested the calculator over estimates how many tiles you'll need so I actually figured it out by gridding it and ordering a few extras for mistakes and in case I have to replace anything that gets damaged.

Installed the product this past weekend in our home for personal training/exercising classes. Although it was easy to install, I am not happy with the product. I was assured by this company that the 5/8" tiles would be perfect for my personal training and workout classes. The very first person I trained tore through the tile just by setting a weight down on it. Another tile got a gash in it from setting a 6 lb dumbbell on it as well. I am very upset about the durability of this product and will probably have to change out this flooring in a year. Now we will have to be very careful about anything we do down there, for fear that the tiles will rip.

I ordered a few sample tiles, selected the 5/8" soft interlocking tile, and then ordered the rest for my 12' x 8' home gym space.
Orders arrived on time (within a week). Installation was trivial. The result is what I expected -- a versatile and effective gym floor for some aerobics, dumbbell work, yoga, etc.
And, all at a very reasonable price. Good experience overall.

I looked for a few weeks at local stores and found these folks in my hunt. Found their website easy to use, and pricing reasonable. My tiles arrived quickly, install was fast and easy, I did it myself while my wife watched. Cut the edges and it looks great. Installed 2 days ago, already worked out twice!

We've used these rubber tiles in the basement playroom for the grandkids with great success, so when we wanted to make a basement media room, these immediately came to mind. It's a comfortable covering for the cement floor of the basement, and the fact they can be easily cut to fit made wall-to-wall installation in the slightly irregular space much easier. It was also more economical and took up less vertical space than some floating floor alternatives I looked at. The only drawback was that my sister felt like her high heeled boots would pop through the rubber. They didn't, but she was walking gingerly. I wouldn't recommend for areas of high high-heeled traffic though.

We used these tiles to cover the ground for an outdoor playarea for our kids and they are perfect! Great cushion, durable, and holding up very well in the brutal Arizona sun. Easy to clean (sweep or hose down). Easy to install- just snap together and trimmed edges as needed. I did a fair amount of research and these were the best price- especialy for tiles this thick. Very pleased! Shipping was super quick, too!

Looked elsewhere for similar products. This was the best quality for the price. Floor calculator worked correctly and helped me estimate my odd sized room (45 degree angle in one corner). Communication on purchase and shipping were good, flooring actually arrived 3 days early. Installation was easy, cut well with a carpet knife. Only complaint was that the color of the tiles were not very well matched. For our garage gym that was fine but this might be an issue for others.

Hi Rubber flooring inc,
I ordered the soft mats yesterday and I got a knock on the door today and UPS had my mats dropped off at my door.
I just want to let you know how pleased I am with my new Rubber Flooring Soft Tiles. I will be using them for exercise and as a play mat when the grand kids are over. I am going to order some soft for my grandson. They will be great around the pool area for the baby and the choice of colors are an added attraction to any area. Once again thank you so much for the fast service and great tiles. I recommend anybody who exercises at home or with small children should get these mats.
