Description - Our 3/8" soft wood tiles offer a low cost foam flooring surface with the attractive appearance of a wood floor combined with the softness and cushion of a foam tile. These tiles interlock to make for an easy DIY installation and include detachable edge pieces so that each tile has the ability to be a center, corner, or border tile. Soft wood tiles are also waterproof, easy to clean, and act as an excellent insulator against sound and temperature transmission. Smaller numbers of tiles can be used to make portable and quick to assemble exercise mats.
Note: This product is not designed for medium to high traffic areas. The wooden design is a thin yet durable veneer like foam surface that can be punctured under sharp animal nails, rough use, high heels, and the wooden pattern is not guaranteed to always line up between interlocking tiles.
Material – 3/8" Soft wood tiles are constructed of closed cell EVA foam that helps ensure they are water proof, odor free, light weight yet durable and insulating.
Size – 2' x 2'.
Thickness – 3/8 Inch nominal (~9mm)
Weight – Each tile weighs approximately 0.625 Lbs.
Recommended Uses – 3/8" Soft wood tiles have been used successfully as light duty home gym flooring, exercise mats, trade show flooring, exhibit flooring, retail display flooring, living areas, conventions, or any other location where an elegant yet cushioning flooring surface would be useful.

  • All of our 3/8” thick soft wood tiles are in stock and ready to ship via Fedex.
  • Soft wood tiles typically ship the same day or the next business day and deliver within 2-7 business days depending on your location.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your tiles ship.

  • 3/8” thick soft wood tiles can be maintained just like your wood flooring at home.
  • The recommended cleaning instructions typically include sweeping the tiles to remove any loose or dry dirt, crumbs, dust, or debris.
  • To clean harder stains or liquids off of the soft wood tiles, the tiles should be wiped off with a damp rag or temporarily lifted and cleaned under warm running water in a sink or bath tub.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
  • When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

  • Designer wood appearance.
  • Perfect for light traffic areas.
  • Available in 2 wood finishes: light oak and dark oak.
  • Detachable edge pieces make installation easy.
  • Low profile 3/8" thickness.
  • Wood pattern is not guaranteed to line up between tiles.
Nice soft floor
4/5 3/8" Soft Wood Tiles
Anonymous from North Carolina
My wife and I put this in the basement. It work great on the concrete part on the low profile carpet there were some issues. The don't lay perfectly flat over the carpet but still provide an easy to clean, soft surface for our son to crawl around on. Hindsight we would have bought the 5/8" thick. Overall very good flooring.

needs better edge
5/5 3/8" Soft Wood Tiles
Diane from Novi, MI
I have used these tiles for years. The thing that is really needed is a sloping edge. When used and trade shows the flat edges can be a tripping hazard. Please consider offering a sloping/slanted edge. I would offer as a separate purchase to up-grade to. Offer them by the piece or bundled for 10 x 10 foot space minimum. I have sent more than 50 trade show customers to you over the last 8 years. People step into the booth and bounce on the floor because it's cushy. Better for feet over 3 or 4 days, easy to install.

Love the product
4/5 3/8" Soft Wood Tiles

I love this product and have used it both in the entryway and kitchen. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the edge pieces were insufficient/mismatched for a vertical placement so I used far more tiles than required according to square foot. The other thing which would be a great improvement is if the edge was colored in oak or anything other than white which when visible make the fact of it being foam very obvious. Of course stilletto heels/or pet paws will damage the surface. All in all, a Great Product!

Loved the foam wood flooring! It made our booth look sharp and modern! And it helped that we had the padding from it and did not have to stand on the concrete all day!

Economic and high quality product
5/5 3/8" Soft Wood Tiles
Chad from Rising Sun, MD
I have purchased from several times now starting with mma mats, eco tiles and soft wood. All have been high quality. The 3/8 inch soft wood is plenty soft yet firm enough I feel there is no need to get the 5/8 inch except there are other colors. So easy to instal and very comfortable to walk on. Ideal for basements or play rooms etc.

We ordered this product to replace carpeting in a spare bedroom that is mostly used by our cats. It was very easy to install and looks great. We plan to install this flooring in the other spare bedroom as well.

3/8 Light Oak foam flooring
5/5 3/8" Soft Wood Tiles
Bill from New Hampshire
I read the reviews before ordering, and found the flooring exactly as expected. I used the flooring in a ground level basement room with a concrete floor which previously had just area rugs. Installation was easy with no surprises. Cuts easily with heavy sissors or a box cutter knife. After installation, we relaid the area rugs over the floor. It has noticebly reduced the cold coming from the concrete floor this winter. Very comfortable to walk and stand on. I used small cut squares of upside down rug under heavy furnature legs and exercise equipment to protect the flooring. As others have said, it's probabily not a good choice if you have dogs, as they could puncture the surface, and the pattern doesn't exactly carry thru the jointed edges as you might like. The mismatched pattern and joints themselves are not glaringly noticable unless you look for them. It is not an elegant formal flooring, but if you want that, install real wood. This is a good reasonable alternative for an informal basement playroom or exercise area. Given the chance to reconsider the purchase, I would reorder the same flooring again.
