Description - Regrind rolled flooring is an extremely low cost yet very durable rolled rubber flooring solution. These rolls offer a functional rubber floor surface however color and density of color flecks between rolls is not guaranteed. These rolls are made from our very own post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard recycled rubber products. Regrind rubber rolls are very dense and have an anti slip surface to help keep traction even in the most demanding lateral movement exercises. These rolls work great in home gyms or commercial gym areas where heavy exercise equipment is being used and the customer is in need of the lowest cost rubber flooring solution available. These rolls are also guaranteed with our industry leading 5 year warranty.
Note : Confetti colored regrind rolls currently have a 3-5 day lead time from our west coast facility and a 10-15 day lead time from our Midwest facility. You can select which facility you would like the item to ship from when you checkout. Black colored regrind rolls are only available from our Midwest facility and currently have a 5-7 day lead time.
Material – Reground rubber that is made from the post industrial recycled rubber created during the production of our standard rubber products. This allows us to make a low cost product that is designed to be functional. If you would like a rubber roll that has guaranteed color consistency, we would recommend one of our standard rolled rubber flooring products instead.
Width – 4 feet.
Thickness – Available in 1/4" and 3/8" thickness.
Length – Available in standard 20, 30, and 50 foot roll lengths.
Color – Available in confetti color pattern and a primarily black color pattern. (Note: This flooring is made entirely from the post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard rubber flooring products. Due to this, color density, shade, and variation can exist in the flooring depending on what kind of colors and products we are running on any given day. Black regrind rolls may also contain a few color flecks and thus consistency of color can not be guaranteed with any regrind roll.)
Weight – 1.5 Lbs. per square foot for the 1/4” thick rolls and 2.2 Lbs. per square foot for the 3/8” thick regrind rubber flooring.
Origin – Made in the USA
Recommended Uses – Regrind rubber rolls have been used successfully in home gyms, commercial gyms, personal training studios, basements, indoor paintball studios, and in a variety of other locations where a durable non slip flooring solution would be beneficial. Even though this rubber flooring is cheap in price, it is still just as durable and can be used in places just as demanding as our regular rolled rubber flooring products. Regrind rolls are not normally recommended for use as dog kennel flooring or horse stall matting.

  • Confetti colored regrind rolled rubber flooring is available in 20, 30, and 50 foot lengths and typically ship within 3-5 business days (delivers in 5-10 business days) from our west coast facility and in 10-15 business days from our Midwest facility (delivers within 13-20 business days).
  • Black regrind rolls are available in 20, 30, and 50 foot lengths and are currently only available from our Midwest facility. Black regrind rolls currently have a 5-6 day lead time and are expected to deliver within 7-12 business days depending on the customer's location.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your recycled rubber flooring ships and tracking information becomes available.

Regrind flooring is easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance of this recycled rolled rubber flooring typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the rolled rubber with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is recommended that you use some kind of adhesive to prevent the rolls from moving around or sliding apart between adjacent rolls. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the sub floor are:

A: Double Sided Tape Installation
  • First you will want to clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
  • Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for up to 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation of your new flooring.
  • Note: Rolls may be directional so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure color matches.
  • Make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a Straight Edge and a Utility Knife with a fresh blade.
  • Apply double sided tape to perimeter of each roll.
  • Place rubber rolls back into position on top of the double sided tape.

  • B: Glue Installation
    • First clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust and debris. Also, when gluing your flooring down, it is recommended that the sub floor is free of any moisture.
    • Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Put down a 10 foot long light layer of polyurethane adhesive and unroll 10 of the flooring into the adhesive at a time.
    • Repeat this step for every 10 feet of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into it desired position.
    • After all rolls have been glued down, it is often recommended to use a 100 pound roller on the floor in order to guarantee good adherence to the sub floor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.

Very easy to work with. A straight edge and a sharp blade worked like a charm. Used it in a basement exercise room. Took about 60 minutes to complete a 12x15 room. A roll bigger than 30' x 1/4" might be too much for one person to move around. Placed it about three weeks ago, still waiting for the smell to go away, but not nearly as bad as at first. Smells like the tire department at the fleet supply store!

Noise Reduction needed in Daycare room
5/5 Regrind Rolls
Carolyn from San Diego, CA

We purchased the 3/8" Confetti Regrind Rolled Flooring for our Child Daycare room of our Medical office. We had been getting complaints from the office downstairs of kids noise & were hoping to solve the problem. The ordering & delivery was fast. Had a little problem with the delivery, but after getting help, got the 2 rolls at 200 lbs each in the office (up 5 steps from back parking lot). We let the rolls sit for 2 days before installation hoping to air out the rubber smell. Our main problem was once the roll was rolled out onto the floor, we couldn't move it at all. (We applied it on top of the original vinyl flooring.) Buying some brown painters paper solved that problem. By cutting the rubber friction, we were able to move the rolls under the baseboards. We did use the double-sided tape between the rolls to be sure to secure it, but probably didn't need to. Now the room looks good, the kids love it and we haven't had any more complaints from downstairs. All in all, it's been a perfect solution. The rubber smell did take about a week to go away.

The regrind rolls of flooring (3/8" thick 4'x20') are just what we wanted for our basement home gym and work out area. It finished off the room and gave us an area where we can get on the floor for exercises rather than the concrete basement floor, and now the whole family is using the room to work out together.

I searched everywhere, read reviews, tried to keep price down, tried different options (cow mats - great for heavy equipment - not necessary for room and does not edge as well). I ended up with the 1/4" rubber roll. I thought it may be too thin. Not true. Laying over a plywood floor, you cannot tell if its 1/4" or 1". I thought it may not lay flat. Not true. 50' roll just rolled out with zero curling. I thought it might not edge match with the piece next to it. Not true. Sometimes cannot find the seams. It cuts with a knife. A perfect buy. Only drawback is the shipping. Very expensive. Bottom line. Buy it.

Tis is my 3rd time ordering these rolls. The first purchase was so-so. The second purchase was great. These current rolls were not very good. It comes down to how they lay out. We had problems with the rolls not laying flat on the ground and being wavy. With our big climate changes we lay dry to allow for expansion and contraction. The last purchase laid out almost perfectly flat and was easy to install.
