4' x 6' x 3/8" thick mat

Description - Impact Mats are a smaller version of our Impact rolls. Durable and shock absorbent, these exercise mats are ideal for plyometric workouts and other high impact exercises. Less dense than our standard rubber mats, these mats will help to prevent leg fatigue and/or injury. Because these mats are less dense, these are not recommended for use in areas with heavy weights or heavy exercise equipment. Available at an economical price and featuring two finished sides, these mats are backed by a 5 year warranty.
Note: During certain types of running and high intensity workouts, our Impact mats may start to break down and flake over time, creating a flooring surface that is not ideal. For these types of exercises, we recommend the use of our standard rubber rolls which are more durable and better suited for these types of exercises.
These mats are rated to ship individually by UPS or FedEx. For larger orders (4 or more mats), it is often advantageous to purchase our Impact Straight Cut Mats. They are the same product priced with out shipping. The cost to ship 4 or more mats is usually less using a standard freight carrier over FedEx or UPS.
Material – Reground rubber that is made from the post industrial recycled rubber created during the production of our standard rubber products and recycled white wall car tires.
Size – 4 feet wide x 6 feet long.
Thickness – 3/8"
Weight – 2.03 lbs. per square foot.
Origin – Made in the USA
Recommended Uses – Impact rubber matting offers a great solution for use during plyometric training and high impact workouts. These plyometric mats are ideal for use in home gyms, as exercise flooring, and in places where jumping and other high impact exercises like P90X or Insanity are done.

  • Impact mats typically ship within 3-5 business days and deliver within 8-11 business days.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your rolled rubber flooring ships and tracking information becomes available.

Plyometric training flooring is easy to clean. Maintenance of this rolled rubber flooring typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber flooring surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the plyometric matting with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
  • This rolled rubber flooring solution is slightly porous in order to aid in the shock absorption of the rubber and this can cause the Impact flooring to take slightly more time to clean as compared to our regular rolled rubber gym flooring.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

Less stress on my joints
4/5 Impact Mats

This mat is exactly what I was looking for. I do high intensity workouts with a lot of jumping and this mat made a huge difference in how my knees felt - during and after. The price was also very reasonable for the product. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the mat sheds. There will constantly be little black pieces all over my floor that end up in other rooms - just from me walking around. I'm sweeping often. If I didn't have hardwood floors, I'd be very disappointed.

Good support but flaky

I bought 2 of these because of the damage I did to my knees in 8 weeks of Extreme plyometric workouts. I work out in the basement and the wood laminate over concrete did my middle aged knees no good! I am still healing the knees, but continue to work out and the rubber mats help cushion the impact a bit. As others have stated, once you take the mats out it smells like a tire factory for several weeks, but that's to be expected. Others have mentioned this as well: the mat flakes little black specs all over the place. It's easy to vacuum it up, but if you are looking for something that doesn't shed, so to speak, this ain't the mat for you!

Great workout mat!
5/5 Impact Mats
Jon R from Phoenix, AZ
I'd been looking for something to use for Insanity and T25 workouts other than the old rug I had. Throughout all my research, I was really having a hard time finding something that seemed like it would work well for me. I stumbled on this and I'm glad I did. This product is made well, provides that bit of cushioning I was looking for (I have this on a concrete floor in the house), and doesn't go anywhere! I feel extremely more firmly planted in all the side-to-side and back and forth moves. At 43, I need a bit more cushioning for those higher impact jumping moves, and this has proven to work great for me. It's definitely no soft, but very firm with a little give since it's rubber. The size is perfect for these types of workouts, and the only thing I found is that with walking push-ups or planks, either my hands or feet have to be off the mat since I have to use the short side if I want to move more than one step to either side. I would highly recommend this mat to anyone looking for something to use for these types of workouts!

Excellent mats for polymetric exercise
5/5 Impact Mats
Megan from Birmingham, AL
I have been using the Focus T25 workout program for about 8 weeks. Prior to these mats my feet were killing me. I could hardly finish workouts. I was just exercising on hardwood floors/carpet. I tried using different sneakers, going barefoot, etc. I set up 3 of these mats in my basement and the difference was amazing. I no longer have any pain. The mats are well made and pretty heavy. They do not slide or move around at all. They vacuum up easy as well. Prior to finding these mats, I was looking in Home Depot and Lowes and contemplating buying these puzzle-shaped foam type pieces for flooring. I'm so glad I did not. For the price you cannot beat these mats. Very satisfied.

great addition to workout space

My workout area is in the corner of an unfinished basement. The concrete floor was hard and seemed to be getting harder each year. I purchased two 6' x 8' impact mats and butted them together on the floor to make a 12' x 8' area. I really like these mats! Yoga and P90 are much better when done on them. I still use a yoga mat for yoga and core work. I have not used any carpet tape on these mats. The mats do scoot away from each other by 0.25" or less when doing sprawls or lunges since they are in a completely open area. It's very easy to kick the edge and eliminate the gap. I will probably tape the seam together on the floor side. I've had the mats for about 1 month and am very happy with them. The mats do have an odor and my basement still smells faintly like Farm & Fleet. I don't find the odor offensive. I bought these mats when they were on sale and feel I got a very good deal.
