The overall quality of the product is great. I ordered the Midnight Black tiles after ordering the sample. I liked the sample because it had some white fibers added for the overall look and figured this would help hide the seams better. Unfortunately, the tiles I received was pure black and did not match the sample. I choose to keep the tiles and after getting them installed I like the overall look. I think the white fibers may have helped hide the seams a little better, but I installed these in a darkened movie room. The samples either need to be upgraded or I received an incorrectly manufactured batch. The tiles blend much better after the first vacuum as well. Product Installation Warning: These ties are directional tiles because of the way the plastic fibers lay down. The installation info fails to explain this in the instructions. Most tiles will have some wording or an arrow on them. Make sure the wording and arrows are all flowing in the same direction. I had about 15% of the tiles without any lettering and the best way to figure out the direction was waiting until its darker in the room and use a flashlight. I still ruined a few tiles after cutting them and thought I had the direction correctly. If you get them installed in the wrong direction (at least with the Midnight Black) the tile will be much lighter and stand out very badly. These tiles should have arrows on every tile and I hope they update it down the road. Overall, I am very happy with this product after it was installed.

Great look! Carpeting with gym padding looked just like the sample. We needed to replace old glued-down padding and carpeting.The order shipped in time frame quoted. One of our edges had lots of curves and they were easy to cut with a very sharp utility knife. Very easy to piece together. I gave the product four stars because there is a strong rubber smell from the recycled tire backing. Time will tell how long it takes to dissipate.
