I use to use a simple yoga mat to do stretching and sit ups, but after I built a new home and put a dedicated exercise room in the basement, the floor was just too hard. I purchased this mat and it works great, seems to have very solid construction. The foam is very supportive and does not crush down to nothing when you sit on it. If folds in half for storage and has nice handles on the side. I feel this was a good value for the price.
