I ordered the 1″ MMA tiles for our Tae Kwon Do school. I placed my order late at night and was surprised to see that they had already been shipped early the next morning. The tiles themselves are great; durable, easy to clean, and look great. Installation was also very easy, it only took about 2-3 hours to install over 1200 s.f. of flooring, with 4 people working on it. We are holding classes on the flooring four nights per week, and so far it is holding up beautifully. Highly recommended!

I started BJJ in January and began searching for some type of mat for home workout. Both the reasonable price and the size of the mats made them perfect for me. The 2'x2' size is easier to store than standard 3' mats. They also lock together very tight and even though I put them together and take them apart 2-3 times a week are still holding up well. I have reccomended them to all of my friends I train with.

Great mats. The 1″ thickness is perfect. We are a commercial gym and this mat gets used daily in a big way and they are holding up very well. The initial slippery surface people have spoke of is just about gone after a months use. Our members are really enjoying the upgrade.

She had a good idea of what I was going for and sent samples of 3 different mats right away. I definitely suggest getting a sample. They have mats I didn’t know even existed! This is simply the very best snap together floor mat I have ever seen. It's a full inch thick, well made, and comfortable. It makes my garage gym space usable. Excellent product, even better service. Top notch in both product and company!

I've studied Shito Ryu Karate-Do for 2.5 years and am now studying Sil Lum Kung Fu. These mats were a breeze to put together and cut by myself using the instructional video provided on FoamTiles' site. I can now practice break falls, take-downs, and rolls inside my dojo rather than hoping for good weather to do it outside. I use these mats barefoot and there is just enough grip so I won't fall, but they are also slick enough that they won't twist your toes when doing a roundhouse kick. In my experience, some mats will grip the toe in place when trying to pivot, causing injury. What made this dream possible was the pricing and I couldn't pass it up. I even compared these prices with the wholesale providers that my Sifu uses and they were still nearly $200 cheaper. Lastly, the customer service via the phone and Live Chat was wonderful. It was easy to communicate, and they answered all of my questions. I spoke with 3 different agents on different occasions to help finalize my decision and all 3 individuals gave me the same quality of customer service. So I decided to go ahead and place my order rather than ordering free samples first and I am so happy with my purchase!

I have intense plantar fasciitis and one day was joking about how my life would be complete if my entire house floor was a huge mat. The more I thought about that, the more I thought,, why not? So I browsed sites for days looking for exactly what I was imagining and landed here. Talked with a knowledgeable and friendly lady who described them perfectly to me and proceeded to purchase enough to do all five rooms in my apartment. They shipped for free and we're here in under a week. And they are everything I was hoping for!!! They fit together perfectly. They were easy to install. We threw big area carpets over them and in the kitchen we found some that looked like an oak floor and put that right over the Mma mats. I'm a cook that works 12 hour shifts on concrete and I've had heel spurs and plantar fasciitis for years. This is heaven. I literally only want to be home now. It's like walking on clouds. I'm so in love and grateful and thankful!!! These are saving my life!!! 😍

For MMA or jiu jitsu you need at least a little traction on the ground. These mats do not provide that. They are so slippery you cannot do shrimp crawls, makes escapes hard.. any kind of foot work is near impossible. They would make great play mats for kids but that's about it. They do have a decent impact rating that's why it got a 2nd star.

These tiles are perfect for my acroyoga practice, picked up 12 and that is perfect for one couple. Dropped my flyer a few times and the impact is really softened. I break them down and hide in closet until I get to play; setting up in my living room or taking to gym is no problem!

Great mats for indoors and outdoors. Durable and getting great use out of them!

I purchased this product after getting a quote on reupholstering my boat. Since its primarily just me, I didn't want to spend that kind of money so I started looking for something like this and since the price was right, I purchased a box to try it out. It worked almost perfectly after I cut 2 of the squares to make the seat for the center console. My only issue was the same as alot of other reviews have pointed out, the coating on them made glueing 2 together a challenge. Other than that, outstanding results!!

Dollar for dollar these are the best mats you can buy. They are of good qualitiy and the free shipping is a major consideration. I have been using the mats for several weeks and some of my students are around 250 pounds and the mats hold up extremely well. We train with MA shoes and the mats don't show scuffs.

Ordered for a garage workout area, and am very pleased. First the thickness of the pads are great, much thicker and at a better price than the sporting good stores in area. The assembly was easy, our 14 year old son put it together, and the edge pieces are nice. Overall very happy

These mats are awesome!!! I bought them for my Jiu-Jitsu practice at home. They are thick and absorb shocks beautifully. The surface is really soft and does not burn my knees when doing the techniques. And what I really love the most is that they are odorless — everything else I had looked at had an awful chemical smell, buy these don’t! I had been looking for something like this for months, but couldn’t find anything good within my budget. Everything I found close to this was so expensive and the shipping fees were so high, I had already given up. That’s until I asked the owner of a kid’s gym, and he gave me this website right away — I couldn’t believe it. I’m very happy with this purchase and I definitely recommend them!

Wanted to build my own gym, dojo in my basement. When it came to the flooring, it was kind of difficult to choose one I liked-many options. Ordered samples and with “ permission” by the boss (wife) I went with the 1” mma mats. Very impressed! Easy to install. I put down 270 sqft in about 5 hrs. I was taking my time and making sure floor was perfect with the cuts. Whole family loves how it feels under your feet! Will come back for more later down the road for other projects.

Fast delivery and very easy to install. I ordered the mats for my home gym. The best thing about the mats are that they are shock absorbent and great quality. when I jump and excercise on them my body isn’t aching. Weights are also great on them. I would highly recommend.

The tiles arrived four days after placing the order. My first concern was, ″would there be a smell?″. There was none and I got my answer as soon as I opened the boxes. The second concern was, ″would the mats be cushiony enough for walking on and yet durable enough to prevent weights from denting. Slight denting but returns after weight is removed.

I purchased 12' X 14' of the 2' tiles for our basement. My son and I have been using them for Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, and boxing. They went together easily and stay together. We have not had them come apart one time. I was concerned when ordering that the 1″ foam would be too thin for a concrete floor, but I have been pleasantly surprised at the level of protection these provide. I will be ordering more in the future.

We chose to install the 1″ MMA mats in my son's bedroom as opposed to carpet. So far (1 month in), we are extremely pleased with the results. Install was quick and easy, the kids love the feel, and it was about $600 LESS then having carpet installed! We have the kids take off their shoes, boots, or cleats before they enter so that should help extend the life of the product. One of the cool parts about these tiles is that as they get beat up (and they absolutely will), we can just flip them over or even replace tiles as needed.
