8mm Carpet/Rubber Tiles - Signature Series Reviews

We purchased 8 mm rubber backed carpet tiles to place on our spiral staircase which is wooden floors. Our 14-year-old golden retriever just couldn't make it up those wooden stairs anymore. The rubber backed tiles are perfect. They were easy to cut and fit exactly the shape of the spiral spiral staircase. No slipping and the dog is happy!

In finishing our basement, we had need for some flooring for a craft room as well as an excercise room and found this product. It seemed to be an excellent value and I wasnt a fan of the regular rubber tiles that had the flecks in them, I wanted a little more formal finish even for the informal rooms. We ordered it in Black and installed it in our Grey rooms with white trim and it looks fantastic. Better than I would have ever imagined for an excercise room. If you are wondering if the tiles are of good quality and value, wonder no more. It was a piece of cake to install, I just had a piece of plywood and my utility (razor) knife and it went in perfectly, looks very professional.

We are very pleased with our interlocking flooring...Would recommend this to everyone.

These interlocking tiles were easy to install and look great. They are a perfect solution for my screened in porch to cover the awful linoleum that was there before. They are mostly rubber so if they get a little wet because I forget to close the sliders that are at window height, it should not be a problem. All you need for the installation is a good razor knife, a tape measure and the smarts to start the first piece at the squarest corner in the room. The only drawback is that you have to trim the interlocking nubs from the corner and border pieces, but that is not hard. Once the corner piece and the first two border pieces are installed, then the full pieces go in very easily and all of the remaining smaller pieces can be cut to fit. If you are not too adept at getting the dimensions correct at the walls, etc. you can always install a baseboard to cover the gaps you left. I would highly recommend this product.

Excellent product, cuts easily, goes to together very tight, hard to see interlocking lines.

We needed a rubber tile to cover ceramic tile in the exercise equipment area of our pool house. This product was easy to install, lays flat, and looks good. It worked out perfect.

I have been looking for something that combined both carpet and rubber and came across this site. After doing some searching around I found this product and ordered a sample. It was just what I was looking for. Now my gym doesn't have that typical gym look. It looks like it flows with the rest of my home. Very easy to clean and has held up well to me dropping heavy weights on it. Great Product!

This is a pretty good product, especially given the affordability. I installed this in a basement work-out room where space is at a premium and I wanted a warmer solution for flooring that would still protect the floor of the foundation. My biggest gripes with this product are as follows. One, it does not come with borders, which I knew when purchasing, but it would be MUCH easier to install if it did. Second, I got something rubber-backed instead of foam backed because I knew we would need to slide equipment around at times, including wheeling a commercial grade upright bike around at times. I was hoping that the rubber floor wouldn't lift and bubble when we did this. I was mistaken. It looks good in the space and it serves its basic purpose, but for the durability of it, I would have rather spent less for high density foam in place of this rubber backed product.

The rubber tiles are just the right thing for our dusty and occasionally damp basement floor. I installed it in one room and it gave the room a finished look. The room is not square, which added to the challenge of installation, but it came out looking very nice.

We use a part of our basement as our home gym. This flooring is perfect! Our floor was not perfectly level as it sloped slighty for water drainaige. There was a bit of carpet adhesive left on the cement. We looked at a few options before we decided to go with these tiles, and we are so happy we did. It was so incredibly easy to install! I used a straight edge, a razor, and some snips. The razor etched my line and I cut the tiles with the snips. It looks great. You only see the tile edges when you're standing directly on top of the floor. looking at the room, the seams disappear.

the tiles came in a timely manner. easily set down and interlocked. they do not come with boarder strips so if you don't like to look of the jagged edges, you'll need to cut them. I happen to have a table saw and it zipped right through them. I took a series of them, cut them in half to use as the end (edge) pieces. looks great!

We are very happy with this flooring. Installed it in 2 hours in our exercise room over concrete. The measuring takes up the time, and because my husband is a carpenter of more than 33 years, he measures twice and cuts once. We had one piece left over, and we plan to build a an enclosed room and we are considering this type of flooring there too. Because black was the only color available at the time, I will say that keeping it clean is a maintenance issue, but it feels good and while moving an elliptical machine into the room, it lifted the flooring a bit, but the tiles, went right back into place and did not tear. I love the fact that it is recycled tires. There isn't any smell either as I thought there might be. Really pleased.

Pieces interlock very precisely. We alternated the run of the tiles and it has a very smart look. Great product, great price, free shipping. Very happy!
