Can the prostep dance floor use directly on the hardwood floor or if it needs the subfloor pad?? This is for ballet dancer. Thanks.
ProStep can be used for ballet dance styles. You can put directly over sprung wood floors or using pad if you'd like but be sure there isn't too much give.
I would like to use this in our loft over carpet so my girls can do online classes. Would this floor need to be taped down if on carpet? I would like to be able to roll it up and put it away when not on use.
You'll need to add a subfloor between the tiles and the carpet. We recommend a layer of plywood topped with our foam subfloor tiles or hard plastic subfloor tiles.
Can you tap on your Marley floors

Does anyone recommend this for Turning? I am trying to practice turning at home and would like a somewhat slick/slippery floor to turn with ease.

So I am a dancer of all styles but need this to work on routines and turns. Would this also be good for pointe shoes?
We have had customers do turns on the floor. If you dance in a style with hard shoes we'd recommend our VersaStep which is suitable for hard soled shoes whereas ProStep is not.
can this be put over carpet?
You'll need to add a subfloor between the carpet and the dance rolls to create a solid, flat surface over carpet. We recommend a plywood base topped by our foam subfloor tiles or hard plastic dance subfloor tiles.

Hi, I bought two of these rolls and we have had them for 6mths now. They have been so sticky since the day we bought them dancers avoid turning on them. Any suggestions?
Sarah
We recommend using our Dance Floor Cleaner (https://www.flooringinc.com/accessories/dance-floor-daily-cleaner.html) to remove any residue that would be causing the floors to be sticky.
Can you use the prostep flooring over the modular dance floor tiles? Our daughter has the tiles to make a dance floor over plywood but she would prefer a smooth surface without the seams from all the individual tiles.
Tonya
Prostep Dance Flooring would work perfectly to create a smooth surface without seams.
I bought the shiny black Prostep flooring and it shredded my daughter's pointe shoes. Is there a flooring that would not do this?
Heather
While Prostep Dance Floor Rolls are commonly utilized for this dance style to replicate an authentic dance floor feel, we highly recommend considering our Hardwood Dance Flooring for optimal performance and longevity.
