Will the exercise equipment mat have any ill effects with my wall to wall carpet?

Our 1/4" Treadmill Mats will not cause any staining when placed over carpet. If you do have a light colored carpet and are concerned that there might be a chance of staining, we recommend the use of a plastic sheet underneath the mat.
