Biggie Smallz™ Rubber Rolls Questions & Answers

The Biggie Smallz Rubber Rolls are not vulcanized, so they would be less dense than a vulcanized rubber product. These rubber rolls are still very durable and are unique in that they feature two different color chip sizes. The main difference between a vulcanized rubber product and a non-vulcanized product is that one is non-porous, and one is porous. The vulcanized products are non-porous, making them very easy to clean and maintain. To truly create a sanitary floor with a non-vulcanized floor, we recommend sealing the rubber floor with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer. Other than that, the products would be very easy to install and maintain and would be very slip-resistant, even more so when wet. They are also great for indoor and outdoor use and are resistant to mold and mildew growth.

Our Biggies Smallz Rubber Rolls will have a rubber smell when you first install them, but this smell is not toxic. Our rubber flooring is tested regularly to ensure it is safe. To mitigate the rubber smell, we recommend mopping the floor with a mild soap and water solution with a synthetic mophead. You then would let the rubber floor air dry. You may have to repeat this step a few times to dissipate the smell fully. We also recommend allowing proper ventilation in the room where the flooring will be installed. The Biggie Smallz Rubber Rolls' width is 4' wide approximately, and you can order any length 10' and above in whole foot increments.

The Biggie Smallz Rubber Rolls can be used as flooring on stairs. To install these rubber rolls on stairs, you will need to cut the rolls to fit the steps and then glue them with our polyurethane adhesive. To protect the corners, we would recommend using a stairnose.

Our Biggie Smallz Rubber Rolls are very easy to cut to fit any room with a sharp utility knife and straight edge. When cutting the rolls to fit, always remember to measure twice and cut once.
