Can this be used to cover an aluminum pool deck?

Does this item have a non-skid backing? We are looking at it for a pool deck and we've found other items slip on the metal decking. Also, does it come with finished edges?
No it does not have a non-skid backing or wrapped edging.
Will water drain through the carpet or will it puddle?

Can i put this on a wooden deck that has a roof but open sides?

Can this be glued on a wooden deck that is uncovered and would it cause damage to the wood ? Or should tack it down instead?

Adhesive would most likely damage the wood. You could try stapling along the perimeter or using an underlayment to protect the wood.
Looking to carpet a dock. The carpet will be outside in the elements all year long. What is the lifespan as it will be subjected to snow/freezing temps, rain, and sun/hot temps?

While we can't offer a specific lifespan as that will depend on degree of usage, this is an outdoor approved carpet that should withstand the elements.
Does the outdoor carpet need to be glued down ? I'm looking into putting it down on a concrete patio

Yes, ideally this carpet should be installed with an adhesive such as carpet tape, glue, or spray adhesive to prevent movement.
Do you have to use the adhesive? This is for a basement. I was hoping to not have to glue it down.

Carpet tape would be another alternative to keep this carpet in place.
