My mother’s garage floor is spalled, but not deeply. I don’t want to patch it as it will be so thin that I don’t believe it will hold up through the winters. Can Ii pressure wash it and install one of the interlocking tile products.

If the spalling is minor, you can easily install our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles over the current subfloor just removing any large debris that is present. Sweeping or power washing it would do the trick of getting it cleaned.
I’m building a wood shop, and much of the equipment is on rollers, and I occasionally will need to move the equipment. Items like a cabinet saw weigh approximately 600 lbs. Are the smooth flex nitro tiles able to withstand this?

Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles can withstand the weight of a car, so any heavy equipment will be able to roll over the flooring without damaging the tiles. These tiles are also car jack approved, meaning that you can use a car jack on the tiles without damaging the tiles. The only thing that you will notice under come smaller wheels and jacks is some denting on the tiles. Depending on how long the heavy object has been in the one spot, determines how permanent the indentation will be.
Does the flex nitro tiles help with insulation if laid down on top of a concrete floor in my garage?

Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles are a good insulator of both sound and temperature. These tiles will help to keep any space warmer than is there was just a concrete floor in the space.
Installing the 12' floor reducer strips. What adhesive do you recommend? Do I glue it to the floor, tile or both?

If you needed to keep the reducers for our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles in place, we recommend using either double-sided tape or a pressure sensitive adhesive. You wouldn't need to glue the tiles as they are interlocking tiles and require no glue. These modular floor tiles are meant to be installed as a floating floor.
Are the Smooth Nitro Flex tiles slippery when wet?

Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles can get slippery when wet. There is a slight texture to the tiles, but it is not enough to make them slip resistant when wet.
Can the smooth flex tile be installed in the basement over a foam underlayment?

Is there a border tile or edging or do you just trim edges

The border of the tiles could be trimmed. We don't have specific edges for the Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles however we do sell rubber floor ramps that can help if you are trying to transition a room.
Is this installed as a floating floor or is it glued down?

Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles are sold by the tile, so you can order as many tiles as you need.
I like the smooth pattern for the idea of ease of rolling around in my mechanics stool and maneuvering rolling jack. Is the smooth pattern harder to clean oil spill and finer debris compared to coin/diamond pattern? It seems there are lot more nooks w/the smooth pattern.

Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles are no harder to clean then our Diamond or Coin Patterned tiles. For anything that does get stuck in any of the crevices in the floor, we recommend just spraying the floor with a hose. You can then follow that up with using a push broom to help loosen anything that is still stuck on. Then you can use the hose again to push the dirt and debris to either a drain or out your garage.
How do you clean this floor?
Sweeping or vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary. Periodic damp mopping of the garage tiles with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Can this be put down over carpet? I need a temp floor to convert room to photog studio. Need a floor I can put paper/fabric on that a model could walk on in heels. Need to remove floor for daily use.

If the carpet is plush you will have issues with keeping the tiles interlocked. We'd recommend creating a subfloor underneath the tiles using plywood.
I apologize, another question, if this floor is slippery when wet, what texture do you recommend that still lets you wheel around heavy tools as well as a car, and is easy to sweep up.

There is a slight texture to these tiles, which will help reduce slip. You will still be able to easily roll around tools and other items.
We recently installed your tiles in our garage & it looks great but we are getting yellow marks from tires. What can we do to eliminate them?

This is not a stain-proof product. Street tar can stain light-colored tiles and usually can be remedied with a cleaner called Purple Power. If you have performance tires, staining can occur with light-colored tiles. To get rid of tire marks, you might have to replace the affected tiles, or use darker tiles to disguise the stains. If the staining on your floor does not dissipate, please contact our dedicated Customer Service team who can further assist you.
Can this product be used with the Coin Flex Nitro tiles?
Yes, our Diamond, Coin, & Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles will interlock.
Can water get under them and cause fungus and bacteria

Our Flex Nitro Tiles do have a tight seal when installed correctly, but they are not waterproof. Liquids could potentially get underneath (as with other tiles) & if you have moisture issues with your concrete you should take precautions to properly mitigate the moisture transmission.
Can I install these in my retail store over the existing vinyl tile

How resistant are these tiles to sparks from grinding/cutting metal?

Our Smooth Flex Nitro Tiles are chemical resistant however sparks may damage the tiles. We would recommend a darker color as this will hide most damage.

I'm considering the smooth Nitro tiles. Once installed will water penetrate through the seams and get trapped underneath?

With a hidden interlocking system, these tiles will prevent liquids from penetrating to the subfloor below and will give you a more finished tiled floor look.
