Description - Our 6mm Evo Tile offer a durable yet economical rubber flooring solution. These tiles are designed to provide a functional rubber flooring surface in places where appearance may not be the top priority. Some tiles may be all black and others may have a very small amount of random color flecks in them. As is the case in most recycled product, there is no guarantee on the tile color. As such, we cannot accept returns on these tiles for reasons such as varying colors. The construction of the tiles is still top notch and the tiles will lock together tightly. Each tile is a center cut tile meaning they will have interlocking tabs on all four sides. If you would like to install them wall to wall in a room, the tiles can be easily cut square on one or two sides with a utility knife and a straight edge such as a ruler.
Material – Reground rubber that is made from the post industrial recycled rubber created during the production of our standard rubber products.
Size – 36” x 36”.
Thickness – 6mm (~1/4")
Weight – Each tile weighs approximately 10.5 Lbs.
Origin – Made in the USA
Recommended Uses – Evo rubber tiles have been used successfully as personal gym flooring, as utility room flooring, in basements, as storage shed flooring, and as an anti slip industrial shop flooring where a low cost functional product is needed.
  • Evo tiles typically ship out of the Midwest within 3-5 business days and deliver in 5-11 business days depending on your location.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your rubber tiles ship and tracking information becomes available.
Evo tiles are easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance of these interlocking tiles typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dirt, crumbs, dust, or debris from the floor tile surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Snap a chalk line on the sub floor 24” from one wall in your room. Snap another chalk line on the subfloor 24” from an adjacent wall. You should now have a pair of perpendicular lines making an approximate 90-degree angle.
  • Begin laying the interlocking tiles along the chalk lines, snapping the locks together as you go.
  • Leave the perimeter of the room open until the field is installed.
  • After the field is covered, go back and cut in lines along the walls in the room. Leaving a gap at the wall roughly the thickness of tiles being used is recommended to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

Will these tiles hold up outdoors on a terrace?

Our 6mm Evo Tiles can be installed outdoors. The only thing you will notice is that the tiles will fade in direct sunlight. Other than that they will handle the elements perfectly. They are mold and mildew resistant and are resistant to moisture.

This flooring is a thick, sturdy material. It is easy to clean - we just use our vacuum on the lowest setting or clorox wipes. We purchased 4 squares and were able to fit a stationary cycle bike, and a small treadmill with plenty of room around them. This was the perfect fit for our in-home gym. We even put ours on top of carpet and it stays put. However, I do disagree with some who said the interlocking system is so good you can barely tell. This may be the case on hard floors (maybe), but I wouldn't even think then. But, on top of carpet you can still definitely see where they interlock. But, it is still attractive enough that we do not mind it. There were a few specks on one piece, but they are now covered up by the treadmill, so they are almost completely black.

Good quality rubber flooring. Arrived pretty quickly. As others have mentioned there is some inconsistency in the pattern - one or two tiles had some denser speckling. I was able to flip the tiles over to the other - looks fine to me. The rubber does have a moderate odor for about 2 weeks. These tiles are working very well in our home gym. Provides adequate cushioning. The weight of these tiles allow us to do functional athletic development (plyos, agility, etc) without the tiles slipping. But all in all I am very satisfied with this purchase and would purchase them again.

I was hesitant to order this tile due to the lack of reviews and cheap price however I am amazed by how nice these tiles are. Yes the color does vary some between the tiles however it is barely noticeable to me unless I am down on my hands a knees. There are some random color flecks here and there and some tiles are all black pretty much basically. The thing is I bought these to put down in a small area in my garage where I work out from home with a bench and some free weights on occasion. I don't really care about it being pretty, I just want the flooring to be functional. The tiles lock together super tight and appear virtually seamless once connected. Seriously for being the cheapest tile I found on the internet, these things are a killer deal.

Our basement was flooded recently and the carpet down there was destroyed. I didn't want to go through cleaning up that mess ever again. We found these tiles online and they have been great. My only complaint is that they are all black and it makes my basement seem darker.

The tiles turned out great for our home gym. I husband was surprised at how he couldn't even see where they interlocked together. Satisfied customers!

Tiles look great, I don't even notice the seams. I was looking for something cheap but would last a long time and they recommended these tiles for me. They told me that I would get a random color fleck here and there on the tiles but mine turned almost entirely black. I think I found a total of 8 color flecks on my entire floor. Also, I just have a treadmill and a universal machine so I didn't need anything too heavy duty. My floor looks great and I am happy.

Let me be straight, I am a nut about recycling. After reading about these tiles being made from 100% post consumer and post industrial recycled rubber, I had to pick these. Oh and I love them. They look fantastic. Thanks Rubber Flooring Inc :)

The tiles do lock together very tightly. I guess its the same exact locking system as one of their premium tiles. At least that's what the customer service person told me. The color does vary slightly between tiles however I didn't care since I am using it as a floor in my woodworking shop.
