Description - Our heavy duty rubber tiles are an excellent choice for the home user as well as the large scale commercial contractor who is in need of rubber tile flooring in a variety of colors. These tiles are water jet cut to ensure the tightest fitting rubber tiles possible and they fit together so well they appear virtually seamless unlike many other die cut tile options that are available. Each tile is a center cut tile which means locking tabs will be on all four sides of the tile. This also means some cutting of the tiles will most likely be required when installing these tiles. These rubber tiles are also safe to use both indoors and out and can be loose laid so no adhesive is required. Material – Recycled rubber buffings and colored EPDM virgin rubber flecks. Recycled rubber buffings are the “Filet Mignon” of the recycled rubber industry since they are the cleanest, strongest, and most consistent raw material as compared to some of the less expensive recycled crumb rubber alternatives available. Size – 36” x 36” (Note: Tiles do overlap 1.5” where they lock together) Thickness – 3/8 Inch Weight – Each tile weighs approximately 18 Lbs. Origin – Made in the USA Recommended Uses – Heavy duty rubber tiles have been used successfully in commercial fitness facilities, home gyms, Olympic weight training facilities, pet care facilities, on decks and patios, as basement flooring, over radiant heated flooring, around ice skating rinks, places where spike protection is required such as baseball and golf locker rooms, as running tracks, under weight training / exercise equipment, children’s play rooms and daycare facilities, warehouses, and any other place where a slip resistant, sound dampening, anti-fatigue flooring would be useful.
- Heavy duty tiles have 4 in stock quick ship colors that typically ship within 2 business days and deliver in 5-10 business days. Those colors are Black, Blue, Gray, and Tan.
- Heavy duty tiles also have 10 standard shipping colors that are made from scratch starting the day you place your order.
- An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your products ship and tracking information becomes available.
Heavy duty rubber tiles are a snap to maintain for both the residential and commercial user. Maintenance of these interlocking tiles typically includes: - Vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tile surface when necessary.
- Occasional damp mopping of the floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as lysol, Pinesol, WD40, Murphy’s Oil Soap, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time. For more detailed commercial floor cleaning instructions, Click Here

Great floor, some work.

Where did you install it - home basement gym
I really like this floor. It looks good and it feels good.////I moved into a house that has a small room in the basement. My housemate (the owner) agreed to let me use that room for a small gym. The floor is concrete, and so are my knees, so it was imperative for me to pad it. ////If you have a choice, it will really help you to pad your floor before you buy a lot of heavy equipment. I bought equipment first. No regrets, but it woul d have been easier the other way. I had to lug it out of and into the room to put down the rubber.////One thing I did was get a bunch of cheapo interlocking foam padding from Target. I used this material as an underlayer to the rubber from rubberflooring.com, kind of like putting foam down under a carpet. I don't recommend this particular solution to everyone because Target does not sell their foam online, and no one store carries very much, so I had to do a lot of driving to gather enough tiles for my room. If you have a big room this approach becomes ridiculous.////It took about a month for my rubber flooring to arrive. This might be atypical given that I ordered 3 days before Christmas. ////The delivery company (YRC) called a few days before to schedule delivery. I was given a window of 8 - 4 on the day chosen. It didn't occur to me ask if they would do Saturdays. Fortunately I have a lenient boss. And fortunately we were done by noon and I made my afternoon meeting. ////The driver was courteous and helpful, delivering my tiles to right outside the front of the room where they would be going. It was really heavy, so I did have to help him pull the dolly up our incline and over the door lip (and we didn't even have to go up or down stairs). For some of you with large orders or tough navigation, it might be wise to recruit a strong friend to help. ////The tiles fit together as easily and nicely as people say. Yes, you can see the seams, but at times when I needed to see where one tile ended and another began, I had to get just the right light/angle to be able to tell. And I think the flecks help a bit with giving them a continuous look. ////One word of caution. The tiles are square, but the interlocks are not symmetrical and therefore, not interchangeable. This becomes important when you estimate how much you need. For example, If you get a little bit of extra material length-wise, that you cut off, you can't just rotate the surplus piece 90 degrees to fit it width wise. The left/right edge won't line up with another tile's top/bottom edge. So, when you order, you need to make sure you have both enough length and enough width, not just enough total square footage. I hope that makes sense. ////I didn't find cutting this rubber as easy as other reviewers indicated. I got the job done and it looks fine, but I am no handyman. It took some patience, and some education. Definitely do some searching on the 'net for tips on cutting first. Some of the tips I found helpful: //Use new blades.//Dip the utility blade in soapy water. // It doesn't go from impossible to a breeze, but you can kind of tell the difference. Yes, it will rust your// your blade. Keep a towel handy in case you spill the water (you are not supposed to get detergents // on your rubber) and to keep the knife handle dry for better grip. //Use a straight edge. // A straight cut looks really sweet. //Score it first. // The score does kind of guide you. //Once you have a bit of a cut, fold the rubber away from the knife blade.// It cuts surprisingly easily when you do this. The catch is it becomes hard to get a straight edge. I// suppose if you hang it over a table or board you could accomplish this.//Order some extra tiles.// They're expensive, but if you have the money, having extras on hand gives you room for error.//Freeze the rubber. // Leaving it outside in winter makes it harder, so it doesn't gives as much when you cut.//Have something underneath to cut into.//

Where did you install it - Home Gym
I just installed my home gym floor with the 3/8" Heavy Duty Rubber Tiles from wall to wall (14X14). Laying down the full tiles was very easy, just plop them down and center them so the cut distances around the perimeter are equal, they cut pretty easily with a blade and a straight edge, I fortunately made no mistakes and ended up with 5 full tiles extra, so I really did not have to order the extra 5%. The finished floor looks great, it’s not going to move and the seams aren’t going to come apart.

Rather than renting carpet and pad for a recent trade show, we tried out your rubber floor tiles. They looked great and provided the most comfortable conditions in memory. Better yet one use paid for them 100%. Can't wait to use them again.

The product is as advertised. Laid out a 17' X 17' room with several tricky outcroppings with no problems. Simple utility knife and straight edge cutting worked beautifully.
Unbelievably seamless once laid down.
Only comment: Rethink your shipping carrier. After some 2 hours late for delivery, they informed me they couldn't find a lift gate truck to drop the pallet. They then asked if I would be willing to unload by hand. I wanted the product, so I agreed, but come on...a professional shipping company that can't deliver a simple pallet? Ridiculous and lazy.
Fortunately, I'm a little old school...when a problem shows up...you fix it. Simple. They showed up, I cut open the pallet, and unloaded it all by hand. How could I balk at lifting tiles when they were going to be used for a home gym?
No reflection on the product. It was perfect, and we're still very happy with the results and would order again.

This is a wonderful substitute for other materials and, in our case. the color is unexpected and beautiful. We chose the black with white specks. Great choice for a gym whose equipment is black and white. The floor will never wear out and looks absolutely spectacular.

The flex tiles for my garage look awesome! It took a while for my wife and I to choose the colors, and we ended up with a black and white checkerboard pattern which goes really well with our sports car. We will take pictures and send soon. Best regards, Bill

I bought some of the more generic rubber flooring from a competitor and the seams were horrible. I read that you these were water jet cut and what a difference. Thank you for the great service, price, and product.

In the high use areas where we placed the tiles, the rubber is wearing thin. Constantly sweep up loose beads of rubber off of the floor. The flooring is only about a year old and this shouldn't be happening. The flooring gets quite a bit of use, but not that much where it should be wearing thin.
Customer Service Response
Hello Dan,
Thank you for your response and we are sorry to hear about your situation. Based on your description of the situation, the most likely reason for the rubber wearing down is because the flooring is being cleaned with an oil or solvent style cleaner or has been cleaned with some other type of solution like that in the past. Those types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time and are not recommended for use with rubber flooring. For more detail cleaning view our maintenance instructions. If there is anything else we can help you with please call (800)613-0996.
