  Good support but flaky
Self-installed in basement

I bought 2 of these because of the damage I did to my knees in 8 weeks of Extreme plyometric workouts. I work out in the basement and the wood laminate over concrete did my middle aged knees no good! I am still healing the knees, but continue to work out and the rubber mats help cushion the impact a bit. As others have stated, once you take the mats out it smells like a tire factory for several weeks, but that's to be expected. Others have mentioned this as well: the mat flakes little black specs all over the place. It's easy to vacuum it up, but if you are looking for something that doesn't shed, so to speak, this ain't the mat for you!

I have been using the Focus T25 workout program for about 8 weeks. Prior to these mats my feet were killing me. I could hardly finish workouts. I was just exercising on hardwood floors/carpet. I tried using different sneakers, going barefoot, etc. I set up 3 of these mats in my basement and the difference was amazing. I no longer have any pain. The mats are well made and pretty heavy. They do not slide or move around at all. They vacuum up easy as well. Prior to finding these mats, I was looking in Home Depot and Lowes and contemplating buying these puzzle-shaped foam type pieces for flooring. I'm so glad I did not. For the price you cannot beat these mats. Very satisfied.

  Great workout mat!

I'd been looking for something to use for Insanity and T25 workouts other than the old rug I had. Throughout all my research, I was really having a hard time finding something that seemed like it would work well for me. I stumbled on this and I'm glad I did. This product is made well, provides that bit of cushioning I was looking for (I have this on a concrete floor in the house), and doesn't go anywhere! I feel extremely more firmly planted in all the side-to-side and back and forth moves. At 43, I need a bit more cushioning for those higher impact jumping moves, and this has proven to work great for me. It's definitely no soft, but very firm with a little give since it's rubber. The size is perfect for these types of workouts, and the only thing I found is that with walking push-ups or planks, either my hands or feet have to be off the mat since I have to use the short side if I want to move more than one step to either side. I would highly recommend this mat to anyone looking for something to use for these types of workouts!

I bought a rubber mat for my garage, as my joints were starting to hurt from doing HIIT workouts on the concrete. As soon as I got this, all the pain went away!

I bought 500 sq ft. To use as the flooring for my home gym. It is great. I Have had it installed for almost a year and it still looks brand new. If you have any issues make sure that you work with Christy. She is the Best.

Was exactly what I was looking for. Like to do Plyometrics, and unfortunately my basement floor is concrete. This flooring worked out well.

  great addition to workout space
Self-installed in basement workout area

My workout area is in the corner of an unfinished basement. The concrete floor was hard and seemed to be getting harder each year. I purchased two 6' x 8' impact mats and butted them together on the floor to make a 12' x 8' area. I really like these mats! Yoga and P90 are much better when done on them. I still use a yoga mat for yoga and core work. I have not used any carpet tape on these mats. The mats do scoot away from each other by 0.25″ or less when doing sprawls or lunges since they are in a completely open area. It's very easy to kick the edge and eliminate the gap. I will probably tape the seam together on the floor side. I've had the mats for about 1 month and am very happy with them. The mats do have an odor and my basement still smells faintly like Farm & Fleet. I don't find the odor offensive. I bought these mats when they were on sale and feel I got a very good deal.

This mat is exactly what I was looking for. I do high intensity workouts with a lot of jumping and this mat made a huge difference in how my knees felt - during and after. The price was also very reasonable for the product. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the mat sheds. There will constantly be little black pieces all over my floor that end up in other rooms - just from me walking around. I'm sweeping often. If I didn't have hardwood floors, I'd be very disappointed.

  GYM MATS
Self-installed in Garage gym
Anonymous from FLORIDA wrote...
We set up my gym in my garage, after moving across the country. Even though I had rubber flooring on top of the concrete floor, it was very very hard on the knees and painful for jumping. I ordered these mats to go on top of my current flooring to help with the impact. I bought 4 to spread evenly across my gym space for floor work, leaving the cardio equipment on the regular gym flooring, and it works perfectly. Once a week I steam clean them and so far they are holding up really well.

Mat was as expected. Good workout mat for in-home use. Doing Insanity, T25 and bodyweight work and this mat has stayed in place without slipping. Would recommend to those who are doing the same. Price was reasonable as well.

I got this mat for my H.I.I.T workouts. We love it! I did not give it 5 stars because I was looking for more cushion with the jumps or when on my knees workouts. Though the all around quality and smoothness makes up for it. I can do any kind of workout and won’t slip or fold. My little one puts her small trampoline on it. My pup chews his toy on it so it won’t slip out of his paws. I definitely recommend this mat for multipurpose.

I bought this mat to do high-intensity workouts. I was looking for something that would cushion my jump or support my knees. This mat is excellent quality and the size is more than enough. It does not provide a cushion but definitely won't slip with low or intensive workouts.

These mats are pretty good for workouts like T25, where there is a lot of jumping. The surface provides a little too much friction for some movements that require twisting of the feet, or a skidding motion. They also move a couple inches with repeated jumping in one direction. I didn't use any tape or adhesive, I just unrolled the mats onto the basement floor. I was happy that there wasn't a strong odor when I installed the mats. The seem to be shedding some of the surface pellets. Hopefully that will lessen over time.

I bought these to use in my home gym, in my garage. They are exactly what I needed, and the same flooring that is used in many public gyms. The mats are heavy and stay in place. I love them.

I've had my last for a few weeks now and I love it. I use it mostly for jumping rope and it is very bouncy and not though on my joints. I rolled the mat out on my concrete basement and it doesn't slide at all while I'm using it. I swept the mat when I first got it, but here are still little black rubber specs that stick to me if I do sit-ups or push-ups on it, perhaps I need to go over it with the vacuum, but the specs don't get all over the room, so I don't care
