Rubber Flooring Inc. offers the best tools of the trade to help you install your flooring products. Whether installing rolled rubber, interlocking tiles, or one of our many garage flooring options, we offer the most commonly used tools required to install your flooring. These tools typically ship with your order or arrive before your flooring arrives so that you are ready to go as soon as your flooring arrives.
The first tool we offer is our premium grade double sided carpet tape. This seaming tape helps secure your flooring by simply taping around the perimeter of your flooring and on the underside of seams. This seaming tape works well with rubber, foam, vinyl, pvc, polypropolene, wood, concrete, and just about any other surface you can run into. This method of installation is the most common method utilized by both home users and commercial installers for rolled rubber due to its low cost and ease of use. The reason commercial installers prefer this method is that rubber flooring tends to be heavy and not move anyway and this is especially true once weight equipment or furniture is placed on the flooring. So the goal with rubber flooring is then to ensure that adjacent rolls do not slide apart and that can be done very easily and effectively with our high quality double sided flooring tape.
The second tool available is our polyurethane floor adhesive. This adhesive is designed for use with rubber flooring and can be used for both interior and exterior applications. Our Polyurethane is also moisture cured which means it is water proof and acts as an excellent water barrier for use under rolled rubber in dog and pet care facilities since moisture actually causes the adhesive to cure even harder. This adhesive works on a variety of sub floors and with a variety of flooring products.
The third tool we offer is a durable utility knife that can be used to make precise cuts on a variety of flooring products. This retractable utility knife is constructed of steel and includes 4 total razor blades in the interior storage compartment. Utility knives can be used along the side of a straight edge like a ruler, yard stick, or carpenters square to form straight precise cuts on rubber flooring, vinyl flooring, foam floors, sound control underlayments, mat products, interlocking tiles, etc.
